If you intend to holiday on Norfolk Island then you would be hard pressed to find a better place to stay. Generally you stay for a week or more due to flight schedules and you need spacious accommodation. This place fits the bill. It is in a good position, close to Burnt Pine and has all the facilities needed. Staff... More

The staff were so pleasant, a real plus at the Governor's Lodge. The bungalow was a pleasant surprise, very roomy and cleaned daily. We were disappointed in the slow service in the restaurant. The town was only a short distance away, we had a hire car and would have been a bit lost without it. It was great to explore... More

I actually got married at this resort 6 years ago and I could not praise it highly enough. I did re-visit Norfolk Island in the past week or so and stayed at the lovely Governors Lodge. We got a package deal which included a rental car (definitely needed on Norfolk) breakfasts every day plus a 3 course meal at Baileys... More

The units are self-contained and we did not buy a package as we prefer a light breakfast. The pool is good and overall this is a splendid place to relax and unwind. The town centre is a short walk away and reasonable to good coffee can be found.

We have just enjoyed two weeks at Governors and found it perfect for us recuperating from some medical issues. Plenty to do as well with tours, swimming, and just absolute peace. Our cabin serviced daily usually while we were at breakfast. ALL staff we just great, so helpful and very friendly. We also took advantage of the books available in... More

We loved our week at the Goveror's Lodge. Very quiet and relaxing. The deal included one full dinner by candlelight at the 5-star Bailey's restuarant and full breakfasts each day. You really do need a car to get around the island, lots to see and do. Remember that the cows have right-of-way. Swimming at Emily Bay was divine, even though... More

Although I have been to Norfolk Island before with a friend I took my husband this time. We loved the location and ambience of Governors The units are comfy and clean with daily housekeeping service.. Baileys Restaurant and cafe(on site) has good food at reasonable cost. Although a car is usually included in holiday packages it's just a short stroll... More

My husband and I stayed here for seven nights at the end of January. We found Governors to be a very private and confortable place to stay. Loved having your own individual lodge which was well presented and services each day. The only thing missing is a toaster, but we managed without. We did not use the breakfast facility offered... My husband and myself have just returned from Norfolk Island, arriving New Years Day for 5 days. The hotel was lovely, set in tropical gardens . Each unit is a self contained cottage with its own front balcony and kitchenette. Our package also contained an a la carte breakfast every morning at the cafe. The staff in both the reception...
