barely a 2 stars hotel. It seems that Peru is generous for "stars". This hotel was old: no a/c, old tube tv, internet not working. Food was ok but nothing to remember of. Very noisy if you room faces the main road. In any case, walls and doors offer no filter for the noise coming from walking guests, cars,...

It is a simple motel, with a decent pool. But rooms are small, bathrooms dirty and smelly, full of ants, flies and spiders. Too old, overpriced

The rooms themselves are fairly basic and the bathroom could certainly do with a lift although the shower worked fine with plenty of hot water and it all seemed pretty clean. Arrived after dark and it appeared that the hotel was in the middle of nowhere so we decided to use the poolside restaurant. The food was very good, although... More

El Mirador is a nice place to stumble upon and a good place to base yourself for trips into the Paracas National Park. The rooms are quite simple but very clean with good bathrooms and beds. Breakfast on the verandah was nice and you can see the sea about 200 metres away. This hotel is on the very edge of... More

I spent the nite there this week and I expected basic and I got basic. I wanted to do the Isle Ballestra boat tour from Lima. I took Cruz del Sur and the hotel is walking distance from the bus stop. I don't know what people expect as 'expensive' but even with the lousy US exchange a single room was... More

Some pros and cons on the hotel Advantage - The hotel has a grand pool Disadvantage - The hotel lacks atmosphere, it more seems a big building block - During dinner and breakfast you are served by a very grumpy man, who obviously doesnt like his job - The hotel is too expensive for what it offers - especially during... Well, what to say - yes, there was an earthquake in Paracas in 2007, a tragic event that took much of Paracas away with it. That said, much of the Paracas waterfront has been rebuilt and this hotel survived - and none of its flaws were caused by an earthquake. The hotel was probably very cute in its heyday, but... More

I was forced to stay here while traveling with a tour group. This hotel needs to be shut down and refurbished. The room had no A/C, hard beds and ants. My travel companion sustained ant bites during the night. The condition of the bathroom was prision like. The hotel pool had slim on the bottom. The area is not safe.... More

Hotel overlooks the Paracas Bay. Property is advertised as a hotel. Must be downgraded to a hostel. It is a two-and-a-half stars, according to the owners. Rooms have hot water, but no A/C, and no phones. Rooms are hot at night, If you need a fan, the staff provides you a standing fan. Rooms are very clean. Rooms facing the... More

We stayed at Hotel El Mirador in the magnificent Paracas in Perú. While the surroundings is beautiful, with the great Islas Ballestas called "the Galapagos of the poor", the hotel was nothing to write home about. When booking, the price of the hotel was higher than usual in Perú, for a room with 4 beds, the rate was 260 Peruvian... More
