We stayed here after finding the hotel in Alastair Sawday's "Special Places to Stay". Our party of four were sadly the only ones in the hotel so there was little atmosphere buy Pierre Valo, the proprietor, was welcoming and helpful with his chef discussing our dinner requirements in some detail. My wife is a coeliac and needs a gluten free... More

This mas has lovely and romantic rooms, all different furnished. They are very clean. In the middle place, the terrace is protected from the "Mistral" wind. Dinner is simple, but appreciated. "Le patron" is always willing to help, but don't hurry, it can take some time. There is a nice swimming pool. Tarascon is within the triangle of Nimes, Avignon... More

Classic example of an owner who doesn't care about the guest experience. We were checked in and out by a chambermaid! We were not told about breakfast, meals, drink etc or food available at the hotel. There are no room guides explaining the facilities in fact the only thing in the room was a 2009 magazine guide to the area... More

Stayed here for a night en route to the south coast. Beautiful building with lovely gardens and a great pool. The room was excellent with good air conditioning and a large bathroom. This is a family-run business set in an very old hunting lodge. It has been deorated sympathetically and with attention to detail. The owner, Pierre, has gone to... More

I feel very bad for not reviewing this hotel sooner as I received the best hospitality here from host and proprietier, Pierre and all his staff. We were welcomed after a long days cycling from another village by Pierre with a refreshing glass of iced lemonade. He seemed to read our mind and this was a great start and was... More

Loved our stay! We had been busily exploring Langadoc / western Provance and wanted a relaxing few days to end our holiday. We couldn't have found a nicer place. The owner Pierre has gone to great trouble to look after ALL the small details in his outstanding renovation of a lovely old royal hunting lodge. It is set in its... More

A great hotel in Tarascon. The owner and his wife make you feel at home are a great source for information about Provence. Staying in this wonderful area, you get the feeling that you're living a part of history--only the have modernised the hotel while keeping the old world charm. The rooms are spotless and huge. The beds are comfortable.... More

We stayed here in 2006 as a getaway after getting married and entertaining relatives. We didnt have a chance to have a proper honeymoon so we searched and found this place to stay for 5 days. We were much looking forward to the break. The place does have a certain charm and the grounds are very nice. When we went... More

While attending a wedding at Les Mas, we had unknowingly booked a bed and breakfast in Tarascon that was not up to our standards. During the rehersal dinner, the owner of Les Mas was made aware of our situation and opened his beautiful hotel up to us. When you imagine Provence, you dream of staying in Les Mas. It was... More

This wonderful property provided us with a true holiday highlight - dining under the stars in the courtyard on a warm late summer evening, with perfectly simple food, local wine, and really enjoyable music. On another evening Pierre's lamb with herbs and his home-made tarte tatin were outstanding. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and Pierre and his family were... More
