This place is reminiscent of Mayberry USA on the Andy Griffith Show. Laid back atmosphere, and good home town people working hard to make you feel at home. The Clearlight Inn is a very nice hotel with wonderful service. It is an independent owned and managed by local people. They appear to do most anything to make people comfortable. The hotel is a wonderful place to stay. We traveled to the area to attend a funeral. The staff was very friendly and (without us asking) offered to delay our check out time to until after the service. This was very kind and allowed us to change our clothes prior to our drive home. When I guided and attended Pomme de Terre Chapter, Muskies, Inc. gatherings, I always chose Clearlight Inn. Excellent hosts and accommodations; excellent price.

We rate the Clearlight Inn at 5 stars with A++++. The BEST place to stay at while you are at Lake Pomme De Terre. We stay there at least 3 times a year.
