I was so looking forward to the Shack Up Inn and it did not disappoint. As a matter of fact, it was better than I imagined. The staff were funny, charming and flexible. We got there around 8pm and when we walked into our shack the lights were on and they had blues playing, which TOTALLY made my day. They... More

I planned a trip (with the help one of my friends Marilyn) along the Blues Trail. When I found out about Shack Up Inn I thought this would be a hoot. Two of the couples stayed in shacks and my husband and I stayed in one of the bens in the Cotton Gin. The young man who checked us in,... More

My husband and I have stayed in many varied accommodations. The Electric Blue Shack at the Shack Up inn is one of the coolest places we have ever stayed. If you like 5 star accommodations with room service and a spa this ain't the place for you. If you are up for a little adventure and you like an experience... More

First, I never realized Clarksdale, MS was the birthplace of Blues, and foremost Clarksdale has the most friendly people I have met anywhere in a very long time. The town may appear to resemble somewhat of a ghost town, but it appears to be ready for revival. The Shack Up Inn is one great experience, sort of a retro-elclectic blast... More

the coolest place I ever stayed at out of 45 states of rambling around. stayed in the Fullilove shack (with a piano). the grounds are amazing and so are the shacks. I hit the sights in town but the Shack up Inn was def the highlight of the stay. Delta donuts and coffee in the morning in the old cotton... More

To be honest we would rather not share this review because too many people will want to visit the Shack Up and we might not get a room next time! However we would be doing the guys a diservice to keep it to ourselves...The Shack Up is a truly unique experience, not for everyone, but if you like the idea... More

We stayed here for our last night of a 2 week trip in the region and it was a fun way to end our travels. The place is definitely different and quirky and certainly won't be for everyone, but we loved it. The cabins are fun and the grounds very entertaining. We took tons of photos in the evening and... If you are headed to Clarksdale this is the ONLY place to stay. Super friendly staff, clean and comfortable digs, and quick access to town. A true Mississippi gem. This trip, we stayed in the Fullilove Shack... and last time (six years ago) we were in the Robert Clay Shack. Both shacks had their own personal charm. And the lobby/bar... More

We spent one night at the Shack Up Inn on our way south from Memphis on the blues highway and we were not disappointed! This is not a B&B as in bed and breakfast, but as beer and breakfast!!!The atmosphere of the place is fantastic and the sharecroppers' shacks are exactly what you would wish them to be. We stayed...
