We had a great visit. Don and Linda are spectacular hosts! The motel room was clean and had everything we needed and the location on the shore of Lake Superior was amazing. Sunset was a wonderful experience.

Hotel is getting on in years but is still kept clean. Air conditioner struggled to keep room cool. Parking is very disorganized. There is a motel and cabins. The sunset view from the lakeshore was beautiful.

We found the place on line per the reviews of others who had stayed there prior to our trip in May. The room was small and not fancy but clean and orderly. Found this place on our drive to Porcupine Mtns..would have been better to drive on. First hint that all was not well was the list of rules found after checking in. Don was very accommodating. I saw the two negative reviews on this site and disagree with both. We had access to snowshoes, maps, books. Cabin 11 super clean, warm, and accommodating. We didn't need half the stuff we brought. I would love to see this place in the summer!

We stayed here 3 nights while visiting Porcupine Mountain State Park. It provides the basics and is clean, convenient and very reasonable.
