I traveled to Michigan for work. The Niles Inn is conveniently located and easy to find. The staff helped direct me around town and informed me of some nice diners. This place is dirty and the service is non-existent. Got fooled by expedia website into booking here. Bathrooms are not serviced, beds are left unmade, no amenities of any kind. Atmosphere is reminiscent of Bates Motel.

Even Typhoid Mary wouldn't stay here. The room was marginal (no flat screened TV), the rug filthy as was the bathroom. No amenities (skin lotion, shampoo, etc.). Small towels. I have stayed here multiple times and the building is old and outdated, but it seems to me that the employees try to keep the place very clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and they are located close to good dining.

The room was average. the breakfast- average. the furniture in the lobby/TV room is dirty. Sleep on the left side of the building , the trash pick up in the morning is loud.

We arrived at this Niles Inn at 1:30 AM ... it's sign stood out, and the lobby at least seemed acceptable. We were terribly disappointed with the condition of the room.
