Our room was excellent: the linen, bathroom fittings and breakfast were first class. The welcome was warm and friendly without being overwhelming. We would certainly go back - do give it a try

I stayed here for a couple of nights whilst attending a wedding. Everything was fresh and new, the lovely Scottish couple who own it couldn't have made me feel more at home. The garden was delightful, with the Charente river at the bottom. This is a real gem of a place I'd happily visit again.

We found La Nuit Charentaise by asking at the Tourist information office and what a find. Secure off road parking was essential for us and we were able to park in the owners large garage. We stayed here for three nights. The rooms were clean and decorated to a high standard. Being on the river sold it to us. Beautiful garden.
