Cosmetically, from the entrance, this hotel is high quality,.. Not so if you stay here. Rooms are basic with no micro or fridge unless for extra cost. Chairs for desk leave you at chin level to the desk. Adjacent restaurant not great quality food. Some floors smell from previous years of smoking. WiFi is questionable. Did not honor my Priority... Stayed here for business, and the rooms were average but comfortable. When we asked the bartender for food recommendations - she of course replied "Here!". Well since we just drove 6 hours, sounded good to us. We all were pleasantly surprised at the food, good quality and portions!

I don't know about the hotel itself as I live in the area, but avoid the restaurant at all costs. A group of 6 of us ate there last Friday. I had called several days ahead for a reservation, but when we arrived it was not to be found. The gentleman at the desk did find a table for us,... More

The hotel isn't new but did not feel overly tired. The hotel facilities and bedrooms were very clean. The breakfast buffet (complimentary option for Priority Club members) was small but tasty and quite adequate. The staff was very friendly. It is not a luxury hotel but did provide a very comfortable night's sleep.

I stay in a lot of hotels for business so I have seen really bad and really good hotels. This Holiday Inn is pretty average. It’s a fairly large hotel in the waterfront section of Muskegon. I imagine it is a much better location in the Summer than the Winter. The rooms were OK, the service was fine, and the... More

Just spent a disatrous New Year's Eve at this hotel. It is obvious the management has lost touch with what is going on as this hotel gets worse each year. From a late serving and subpar buffet ($29.95?) to out-of-control patrons, there was going to be no rest this night. We eventually checked out at 3:30am due to my wife... More

Don't let the lobby fool you. The rooms are in need of updating. The air conditioning did not work. After numerous visits from the maintenance staff they finally gave us fans and we slept with the windows open. Not a pleasant experience!

We spent two nights at this hotel over Thanksgiving with our two kids and our neice and nephew in two adjoining rooms. We were happy to hear that they were offering a "Thanksgiving special" rate of $69 a night -- but they did NOT tell us that the pool, hot tub and sauna were closed for renovations and repairs until... The lobby and common areas are very nice. The staff was very nice except for housekeeping. The rooms are very well appointed. The TVs in the rooms are about a thousand years old. Not sure if there is a quiet room in the hotel, it is downtown, next to roads, trains, and night clubs. They shut down the pool and... More

On vacation to see relatives in Muskegon and needed a central spot for the area. This hotel meet all our needs and expectations. The staff here is outstanding. We ate in the restaurant for several breakfast meals and one dinner. The restaurant is convenient but nothing special.good parking.
