We had such a great time at La Perla; the staff is very accomodating; the owner is on hand to make sure all your stay is perfect. We would go back in a heartbeat!

ok so there were a few rough edges but our stay was fascinating, fun and very comfortable.
Room B2 (first floo)r reasonably quiet, Restaurant seemed to be under redecoration so we had a bar meal that proved to be entertaining and good value. Bar managers (ex cruise stewards?) did their best in what was a surreal situation with our poor...

A beautiful colonial building run by a couple of children, who are busier with their cell phones and each other than with their guests.
Arriving in your double deluxe, which turned out to be an oversized broom closet without windows, was something to get used to (weren't going to spent much time in the room anyway). Unrfortunately the aircon was...

hotel la perla is a colonial style hotel in the center of león. this was my first visit to nicaragua, and quite honestly i wasn't that expecting that much, based on some of the reviews and feedback from coworkers that have stayed on property in the past. the hotel exceed expectations, with a few caveats. 1: the water pressure in...

We are here right now having breakfast, great service. Great room on the second floor. We heard early this morning "la procesion" of Jesus Christ just outside. They are accomating to your needs. Will come back.
La Perla is a conversion from, what at some point, must have been a most beautiful home for a wealthy Leon family. It follows the NIcaraguan style of being built around a courtyard. We stayed there for our anyversary, the hotel is a nice colonial house, located just two blocks away from the center of the city. Breakfast is included in the rate, and it's quite good. There's a small pool where you can relax with s cold drink from the bar.
The place impresses immediately. Beautiful building from 1858, lovingly restored. Good breakfast, easy walk to Central Park, Merced Church, markets, museums, university, etc. Lots of restaurant choices nearby. Good swimming pool.
We still dream about the relaxing breakfasts sitting in the open court yard with the fountains and palm trees swaying in the fresh breeze drinking the freshly roasted coffee grown specially for the hotel. We spent four nights at La Perla over christmas holiday. It was amazing coming back to our airconditioned room after the days hot adventures. The pool...

Spent two nights at La Perla in Leon in December, just before Christmas. Hotel staff were helpful, room was a nice size and clean. My room was on the 2nd floor and opened up onto the balcony overlooking a lovely courtyard and the restaurant.
Unfortunately, I did not have hot water either morning for the shower, but this isn't a...
