We had booked 2 nights at Casa Leonesa, The main reason for Picking this place was the pool and good location. The location is great, but the pool is no more than a pond. It was dirty and unsanitary, would have never used it. When they showed us our room, it was not what we expected at all. Very tiny... More

We stayed 4 nights in this B&B and really enjoyed. It is colonial house and you feel like you travel to the past. Staff was excelent and helpfull to us. We will repeat the experience again.

I stayed 1-night at Casa Leonesa with my sister's family, which includes a 9-month old baby - and what a perfect find! We couldn't have been more happy with the tranquil, relaxing atmosphere, extremely friendly and accommodating staff and quiet location. Amenities included A/C, a small pool, breakfast (eggs/toast/coffee), excellent staff, great courtyard and sitting area to relax. The hotel... More

The colonial-style courtyard of Casa Leonesa is very pleasant, and has a small, clean pool as well. This was the best part of the place, and a great place to relax in the shadow after hot days in Leon. The rooms were decent by Nicaraguan standards, and gave good value for such a central place - it's only 3 blocks... More

Been here for six weeks. Its ok but not somewhere I would come back. Being here for six weeks is a long time tho. I have had food missing. A little bit of money (change). Paid to do my laundry but I think they dipped in the pool and hung to dry. No breakfast ever no coffee ever. If I... More

Spent two nights here shortly after arriving in Nicaragua. La Casa Leonesa is a sweet old colonial home transformed into B&B, with the typical lovely courtyard . Rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable, an oasis from which to experience Leon. The little pool was a relief for our son, as Leon was fairly broiling this time of year. The... More

We arrived in Leon at the end of our 3 week travels in Nicaragua and decided to "splurge" and spend over $55 for a night's accommodation. We didn't love it here, but it was fine. It was clean, the sheets were soft, but what we didn't love is that we always felt as if we weren't welcome or that we... More

We didn't arrive in Leon until the ninth day of our trip, but by then the damage (by way of ill-cooked or -held food) had been done. We decided to splurge (we paid $60 US) on a nice room to accelerate our recuperation and I'm so glad we did. The room was clean and pretty, the shower had a safe... More

I stayed here from November 10 to11. A small off-centre boarding house. . The rooms on the ground floor are spacious but dark, noisy, airless and smelly. First floor rooms are even worse.Fake antique furniture. The bathroom is rudimentary with hot water only in the shower. You have to pay extra for air conditioning that is also very noisy (so... More

Me and my husband stayed for 2 nights in March 2009 and would definitely recommend it. The surroundings are beautiful, breakfast, which is included, was very good and the rooms clean and spacious with a lovely bathroom. After a hot tramp around the sights of Leon it was a welcome refuge and a refreshing plunge in the pool. Staff are... More
