I really have no compalints about this older, charming motel, right on the river at the falls. A short walk across the footbridge and you can either choose to walk to the stores uptown or hit the "shanties" in Fishtown. The room was clean, neat. We were given a room with two queen beds and both were very clean and... More

I rate on cleanliness and bed comfort .Room was very clean. Bathroom was spotless. I saw nothing around the toilet/shower or sink. I always wipe down doorknobs/phone/tv remote/and light switches on the lamps and walls anyway. sheets were neat and clean smelling. I stayed in a single with a queen that was very soft. My friends were in a suite... More

This motel is good because of location. It is getting older, but is well maintained. Sits on one bank of a short river from Lake Leelanau to Lake Michigan at a small water fall. Opposite side is historic Fish Town with markets and restaurants although we were there after the season so most were closed. Views of the river and... More

We stayed in this hotel for one night, had it been any longer we probably would have left. The staff, or the older gentleman who was the only person at the desk, were not helpful and did not seem to know what was going on. The hotel looked like it had not been redone since the 70's. The internet did... More

Based on the smell alone, we walked in, took pictures, and left. I did not get my money back. The carpets were stained, the paint was peeling, there was an exposed nail head through the plaster, the furniture was damaged, the building was aged...and yes, i sent an email to the health department. I hope they can step in and... More

We walked into our pre-paid room and the awful smell of the place was overwhelming. The place is just so run down and horrible. We sat there for a few minutes and decided to just leave. I went to the office and told them we could not stay because of the condition of our room and she told me that... More

One can't beat the location on the river in Leland, right across from scenic historic Fishtown. But this is a very, very tired property seriously in need of renovation. Our room as clean enough, nut the WiFi didn't work except near office, which closed early and opened late. Desk staff seemed unable to answer basic questions and provide help. High... More

Great location. Everything else is terrible. Too dirty for human occupancy. Borrowed their vacuum sweeper before we could unpack. Sand, lint, cobwebs and dust all over the place. I had the desk attendent take a look and told him that this much dirt does not accumulate overnight. He agreed and was sympathetic but said the owner never visists the room... More

From the mildew smell when we first opened the door to the room, to the too small neglected balcony overlooking the water, to the bathroom with a broken wicker toiletry holder containing a dusty washcloth and few toiletries, this place is the definition of overpriced and neglected. The owners must be living well because it is apparant they have not... More
