We stayed here for 2 nights with a bunch of friends in the winter. It was a blast. We made a nice big fire inside with the wood that was provided. The beds were comfortable. The place was clean but the bathroom needed to be updated. It was pretty rustic, so if you are looking for a 5 star hotel,... More

The Copper Country holds a special place in our hearts since college days and even though it was our first visit to the Keweenaw Mt. Lodge we're hooked! We stayed 3 nights in a 2 bedroom cabin with another couple. The rustic charm and scenic location makes this a great getaway. We found the accommodations to be clean and comfortable... More

We spent 5 nights in a 2 bedroom cabin in mid October. We've stayed here before and our expectations were met for the most part. We were surprised to have Directv now. The cabin was comfortable except for the full size bed - we would have preferred 2 beds or at least a queen. The water pressure and temperature was... More

I enjoyed the historic cabins and lodge. The history is great. The location is great on the top of a bluff. It's near Copper Harbor and a good location. The golf course looked nice but didn't golf. The cabin made me think of something right out of Upstate New York. For the price I believe the cabin should have mini... More

We stayed two nights for a business meeting in the little motel-like building next to the lodge (room 27, I think). On the one hand, it was nice and clean and boxy and kinda rustic, looking like it'd been last decorated in the late-70's. It was clean, though. And because we were at the very northern tip of MI, it... More

I decided to write a review now because the Sunday Star Tribune just recommended the Lodge. I have been staying up here every few years since the late 70's but no more. The lodge is run by the County which is why - according to the staff last year - there really is no incentive to improve the facilities or... More

We stayed here for a wedding. The service in the bar was excellent, the food in the restaurant (specifically the breakfast buffet) was okay, the food for the reception was Great. We stayed in one of the rooms next to the lodge and it was HUGE. And conveniently all we had to do was walk down some steps outside, after... More

Staying in Copper Harbor on 4th of July weekend. Even with most of the surrounding cabins occupied-it was very quiet and romantic - felt like we had the place all to our selves. 1 bedroom cabin - decorated simply - yet clean and comfortable. They provide wood for the fireplace and makes for a lovely afternoon and evening to just... More

We stay here every year when we go up to Copper Harbor for a fall weekend. The lodge itself is historic and they just started keeping open during the winter. The cabins are okay- yes, dated, but this place was built in the 20s! It is not luxurious, but fun, a step up from camping, and the fireplaces in the... More

Even though there are not many choices in Copper Harbor, MI we would never choose to stay at the Mountain Lodge if we return to the Keweenaw. It was unusually warm during our stay and the cabins are not air conditioned. We were not told by staff that there were fans available at the main lodge nor did the cabin... More
