This was your average family owned hotel. Good service from the management made up for a lot of small problems. It was a little run down, but not a bad place to stay for the price.

As always the service at this Hotel is excellent. The staff is very accommodating, quick to make your requests their prime consideration. I have been coming to this hotel for the last 11 years. Sometimes I travel independently and feel very secure in the surroundings. Love it when the Diner is open. Violet and her team make breakfast a feast...

My husband & I spent one night in the king Jacuzzi room during the spring (still off season). The room was neat & very clean. The staff was very friendly as well. Our only complaint was the mattress in the room was too firm. This is the perfect weekend getaway if you have some time to relax. My husband and...

We usually visit the Cape off season as its calmer. :) Our getaways are almost always only a nite or two but the Tidewater helps us to make it happen when we can. Thank you for always making us feel so welcome! Even one day at the Cape to unwind is better then none. :) Make sure to look in...

I recently took myself and 2 children for an overnight to the Tidewater. I used to stay many years ago and remember it well. Although the place is definitely not new, rooms had just been provided with new carpeting. The overall look of the inn was clean and the indoor pool and hot tub were were well kept, and very...

My family and I have made many visits to the Cape over the years, staying at several hotels and motels. I always come back to the Tidewater. It's very reasonably priced, clean, and the staff is always friendly and courteous.
I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my stay here. I did not know what to expect with it being off season. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and a good size. We did not have a chance to use the pool or hot tub, but they seemed very well maintened....

As soon as we were made aware of this, we asked them to remove the carpets. We always tell guests to let us know if there is a problem so that we...

Affordable place to stay. Overall the room was clean except for the coffee pot. It was totally disgusting. Pool was a bit on the chilly side and the hot tub was not in the best condition. Staff was very pleasant.
We stayed for one night & the room was old but clean & the walls are a bit on the thin side as we could hear a bunch of children running around very early in the morning & you knew when someone was in the shower as well!!
We didn't get a chance to use the pool or try the...
