I stayed at the Lord Wakefield Inn for two nights, and it was one of the more unpleasant hotel experiences I’ve had. The smell of smoke – both cigarette and marijuana – permeated the lobby when I first walked in. I arrived at 7PM, which is typically a busy time for check-in, but there was nobody at the front desk.... More

Do not stay here for the following reasons: -EXTREMELY rude and unfriendly staff, -very, very small rooms with an ancient bathroom in them, -smell of Weed permeating everywhere--even outside of the non-smoking rooms--at all times-of the day, -NO "deluxe continental breakfast as they advertise...what you end up with is toast and cornflakes. We regretted staying here and it definitely was... More

We are paying $63 per night for our room, which is located only about 11 miles from where we want to be in Boston. The hotel is old, but I have seen (and not stayed in) true horror stories, and this is not one. Our room, 202, is at the end of a hall and overlooks the charming Lake Quannapowitt.... More

We found this hotel to be rather tired but did not find it particularly dirty or smelly as some other reviewers. It provided us with a good location for getting into Boston and was OK for our two nights at a cheap price. Lake view was good and a walk around stimulating and safe with all the other keep fitters.... More

This was recommended by a funeral home when we had a recent death in the family. This place is filthy. Smells like someone died in there. Carpets are black, the pictures of the Hotel are VERY decieving. Shows a great breakfast. What we got was mini muffins, Apples, toast, and cornflakes. No fruit salad like in the picture. Took a... Filthy, dirty, horrible customer service. The lake is nice to have there. That is where it all ends. The pattern of the carpets are near invisible due to the black from foot traffic. Small room, cheap bed coverings and linens. The TV didn't work. Front desk would not do anything about it. I asked if I could take a TV... More

The Lord Wakefield is in a great location if you are visiting the suburbs north of Boston. Easy on and off the Interstate. The village is charming. The whole village must be on a fitness kick, because there are walkers out on the streets about every hour of the day and night and they have right of way. The first... More

In all my traveling days, I honestly have to say the Lord Wakefield Hotel is the seediest place I've ever stayed. After traveling 7 hours we asked about early check in only to be told it was not possible. We asked to use the toilet facilities only to be told we would not be permitted acess to any bathroom until... More

First off, there is a sign at the road that says Lord Wakefield Hotel so we pull in and have to drive around the parking lot twice just to find the right builiding. There is no sign in front of the building. So then, we ask if we can check in early, it's 1pm and check in is at 3pm.... More
