While the location of the inn is convenient to walking to Stockbridge, I think you could probably do better in the Berkshire area. We were there in March so it was off season and not many folks around in the B & B or in the town. The inn-keepers were very friendly and welcoming. Within walking distance of the shops in the midst of "downtown" Stockbridge. Just a short drive to the wonderful Norman Rockwell Museum - a must see!
