We had never stayed in a B&B and were fairly anxious, but everything was wonderful. We showed up later in the evening than is normal, but they were ready for us and made us feel very comfortable. Perfect location, great atmosphere, kind hosts, fresh breakfasts, clean rooms. They didn't impose, but were extremely friendly and easy to talk to. Even... More

Phillip, who owns and runs the Dancing Bear is such a welcoming and interesting host. He made us a delicious, freshly baked breakfast in the morning which included delicious cinnamon rolls and fresh juice. Our room (it had a balcony, but I can't remember what it was called, I'm afraid) was clean and tidy and right across the corridor from... More

Shelburn Falls is a nice little community tucked in the Berkshires. The potholes were stunning, and the Bridge of Flowers was beautiful. Phillip, the owner/manager was very pleasant and accommodating. He was helpful and a super nice guy. Assisted us in finding a place to eat. Nothing but gracious. However, the home and rooms were dirty. There is no other... More

Shelburne Falls is a lovely little town certainly worth a visit. Don't miss the falls, the glacial pot holes, the flower bridge, the Jeremy Sinkus art glass factory at 4 Deerfield Ave, and the terrific Clark Museum in Williamstown (the current Pissaro exhibit is excellent). We had dinner at The Whatley Inn in Whately. You get an entire meal with... More

Philip, the owner made us feel welcome straight away when we arrived at this homely B & B. It is not top end luxury but it is very comfortable and interesting. PHilip's wife is a weaver and there are examples of her work, inspired by their travels in azerbajan. He is a linguist and an excellent conversationalist on all sorts... More

We stayed at this lovely Victorian, two-storied Bed and Breakfast for one night in early June this year. Our room on the ground floor was small but was clean, well decorated and the beds were comfortable. Edith and Philip were very welcoming and friendly innkeepers and the delicious breakfast served in the dining area was an excellent start to the... More

Stopped here after riding my bicycle 77 miles... I was tired. The staff (Phillip) made me feel at home immediately, I got a very nice room with a balcony AND he made my breakfast to order with homemade bread and fresh picked berries. I had an excellent night's sleep and his wireless worked. Who could ask for more?

Just left Dancing Bear. Perfect location for walking into town. We had 3 rooms and they were all very comfortable. Breakfast was awesome! Thanks for such great hospitality.

Friendly, helpful, and interesting hosts who made us feel welcome the moment we arrived. A warm cozy house with clean, comfortable rooms, nicely decorated, and in a great location, just a few blocks from great restaurants and the other attractions of Shelburne Falls. Best of all, the breakfast was AMAZING! Unbelievably delicious, home recipes made from scratch, using fresh food... More

Just came back from the Dancing Bear guesthouse, having traveled to the area for ziplining with Zoar Outdoor. Shelburne Falls is a wonderful little artsy town- and the Dancing Bear was the perfect home base to explore the area. The house itself has so much history and character, having been built in the mid-1800's. Our room with a little balcony... More
