The beds were wonderful, the beach was a stones throw away, and a historic graveyard next door. I would definitively stay again, the only drawback was little to no television reception and virtually no wifi.

We stayed here two nights Sept 28-30, 2011 - really loved it. The manager was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable for our two night stay. There was a porch so that we were able to meet quests in the evening, very pleasant. Just a very short walk into town to shop and to the beach...

We stayed here for a night to escape the rain while on a mostly camping road trip. The location was great. Just a few blocks walk into town. Property appeared to be well maintained and the innkeeper was very helpful. If your looking for a reasonably priced hotel (comparably speaking anyway) in the rockport area check this one out. We...

This hotel was supposed to be 100 steps from the beach, and all rooms were to have private balcnony, telephones, clocks, etc. Our room did not have a balcony at all, no telephone, no clock, and a small 13" tv. When we asked where the beach was, we were told it was actually 100 steps from the alley. When we...

Outdated room(air conditioner ducted taped around window opening), no hair dryer or shampoo and no phone. ... The ocean is not 100 steps away - it is a short walk down the street and across a street and then maybe 100 steps. Quaint and quiet. Nice outside sitting area to the rear of the building.
My husband and I spent the weekend at The Eagle House. I love this place, so clean, so quaint! So close to everything! We cant wait until next year!
We arrived to find that the reservations we made with rooms next to each other were already occupied and we were given rooms far away from each other. As promised, there were NO coffee makers nor wet barn nor ice buckets in two of the rooms. The BIGGEST problem we incurred was the Hotel turns their lights OFF at 11:00...

This comment was written by someone who did not stay at the Eagle House Motel. It sounds like thay may have stayed at the Eagle House Beachside, which I also own. The Eagle House Beachside (formally the Motel Peg Leg) was purchased in 2010 and has undergone significant renovations over the last year, such as new beds, amenities station (minifridge/microwave/coffee...

We stayed at the Eagle House Motel for 4 nights at the beginning of our trip to Massachusetts. The Motel is very central - we could walk barefoot to the beach, and everything in Rockport was walkable (for Brits at least). It is an attractive, white timbered building with ample parking. The owner Gary could not have been more friendly...

We loved the location of the motel and were allowed to access our room early which was helpful. Gary was welcoming but obviously very busy, and slightly harrassed, so there was little time to discuss the additional facilities the motel offered (eg coffee served each morning, beach chairs for loan) so we accidentally discovered things - in some cases too...

We stayed at the Eagle House Beachside during our vacation and we were dissapointed.
I asked when I made reservations if it was directly on the beach and was told yes. When we got there it was across the road. The view was nice but it wasn't what we were told.
Also I asked if there was WIFI and was...
