Owners were so sweet. They were very accommodating and made sure we were very comfortable. My family had two rooms, the Joshua room on the first floor as well as a room on the second. Both rooms were very clean and well kept. Views from the third floor balcony were gorgeous. Betsy’s muffins are truly amazing, Frank makes what you want for breakfast!

My husband and I stayed in Joshua's room, which has it's own entrance and a great porch to sit and rock in the two bright red rockers. The premises are very well maintained, and the rooms clean. The house is just a feet away from the main street that is lined with interesting shops and restaurants. Some of the rooms have back stair entrances. One on the third floor has a terrific view of the harbor. It really is an ideal location to take in the town as you are parked so close. Their breakfast included muffins, breads, English Muffins, bagels, cheese & ham slices, assorted fresh fruit, yogurt, jams, cream cheese, butter. Juice, tea, and coffee were also available. A ceramic lobster on the table held chocolates! Betsy and Frank were very personable and welcoming. Frank had an interesting life as a fisherman in Gloucester and has stories to share. Staying at The Inn on Cove Hill was a great way to take in Rockport, and also nearby Gloucester.

We stayed here for the last three days of our New England travels. The inn is located just steps from the shops, restaurants and galleries of Rockport. From the top floor of the house, wonderful harbour views abound. Betsy and Frank are lovely people: dedicated to their historic home and the neighbourhood. Both are very welcoming and helpful. The house is well maintained and our room and shower room were cleaned daily. Betsy makes the most amazing blueberry muffins - and was more than happy for us to take one out with us. Frank told us lots about his boyhood in Gloucester, M.A. and his time as a fisherman. Thank you both for a memorable stay in your beautiful home.

We stayed here in July 2014, but can't get the dates to reflect this. we stayed in "Joshua's Room" and really enjoyed it. I liked the separate entrance which gave us a bit of privacy, there was a small fridge door us to keep soft drinks in, the room was not overly large, but certainly spacious enough for the two of us. Best of all was our private porch where we could enjoy a glass of wine and watch the people go by! The Inn is in the perfect location - just on the edge of town so close enough to walk to everything, but far enough so it not noisy. The innkeepers were lovely - very pleasant and helpful. While the breakfast wasn't a hot one, there were lots of delicious muffins, fruit, cereal and great coffee! We will most definitely stay here again and certainly recommend it to everyone.

Three of us stayed at the Inn on Cove Hill back in late September when my husband and I were visiting from Australia. We were travelling with my friend from NY State and we had a two night stay in Rockport wanting to have a "New England experience". My husband and I stayed in Joshua's room which suited us perfectly as I was suffering with knee problems and it had a separate entrance on the ground floor. Loved the whale sheets! My friend took a room with a view and it would have been beautiful - except for the weather! It pretty much rained for the entire time we were there. In hindsight, this added to the atmosphere and we enjoyed our visited despite the weather. Betsy and Frank were very welcoming and informative, regaling us with tales of times past and chatting with us about Australia, which they had quite a knowledge of. Breakfast was excellent, the bed was excellent, we really enjoyed our stay. Betsy had some great tips on where to dine in town - as it was off season there was limited choices. Easy walk into the centre of town and parking on the premises. Just so you know, Rockport doesn't have any bars or pubs, although the restaurants do serve alcohol. A pleasing New England road trip.

My husband and I recently spent a long weekend at this historic inn right on the edge of Bearskin Neck in Rockport. The location was ideal for exploring all the funky shops in the village. The view from the decks was amazing. It was a short drive to Halibut State park where we hiked along a granite mine that had awesome views of the ocean. We stayed in "Joshua's" room which was on the first floor and had a separate entrance along with a small porch facing the front of the Inn. The room was bright, clean and welcoming. As this is an old building, the rustic pine floors added to the ambiance. The bathroom was modern, however, with a large shower and plenty of hot water. The room also had its own thermostat which was great as it was a very chilly weekend. Breakfast was provided in the morning which included homemade muffins, cereals, toast and yogurt. The innkeepers, Betsy andFrank, were friendly and accommodating. It was a great visit!

Nice guesthouse in Rockport, great location, 2 min walk from harbor. The building is nicely renovated, kept (I think) the original style. Parking is free in the yard next to the building. Exquisite view over the harbor and sea. Small private shower and toilet in the room. Breakfast included a really nice variety of fresh fruits and berries, yoghurts, cereals, fresh muffins, bread, ham, cheese etc. It was much better than the breakfast in many other hotels. Owners very welcoming, they truly cared about us guests. Would return anytime.

My friend and I stayed at this charming B & B for a long weekend and had a wonderful experience. Great firm beds, outstanding views and the convenience of being right in town so you can walk to the shops, galleries, and beaches. The host and hostess were so helpful and made you feel right at home in their historic sea captain's house. Great chats over breakfast muffins, cereals, and fruits. Stairs are a little steep, but the view from the balconies is worth it!

My husband & I enjoyed a lovely stay at the Inn while we were in town for a friends wedding & we very much enjoyed the gorgeous deck harbor views, delicious breakfast muffins, & friendliness of our innkeepers. Our trip was too short & we look forward to visiting and staying again sometime in the near future. Much prettier then bigger hotels nearby & great location!

What a perfect venue for our birthday get away! So close to everything. The view from the room was spectacular. The innkeepers, Frank and Betsy, truly care about your comfort. Husband had trouble sleeping on the bed so she suggested that we change rooms the second night. He slept so much better in the softer bed! Betsy's homemade cranberry-orange and blueberry-lemon poppyseed muffins are to die for!
