We recently returned to the Clamber Hill Inn for their holiday open house which was simply fantastic. We have dined several times from 2009-2011 at the Clamber Hill Inn and Restaurant. The food is always expertly prepared and seasoned with a gourmet flair. Salads are fresh, delicious, and creative, while entrees are exquisite, with a lovely presentation to match. We... More

We based our visit here on reviews read in TripAdvisor..and feel misled. We know the area fairly well...Petersham is a gem of trails to hike, bike and water (ponds and streams) to swim in....there is great food nearby in Barre and neighboring towns. HOWEVER, Clammer Hill Inn, is unfortunatley lacking what we were led to believe it had. Rooms were... More

At Clamber Hill we like our coffee fresh, so we ask what time to expect you for yours. When guests show up 90 minutes early we may be a little surprised, especially when they tell us they want to sleep late. In this case, fresh coffee was ready in less than five minutes along with early orange Juice. We do... More

This stay was a dream come true. Everything from the welcome to the room to the meals was absolutely divine. We stayed in the the Oriental Room with a big brass bed and a deep luxurious tub. Our dinner was served by candlelight with flowers. The room was enclosed in glass so we could see flowers and trees and birds.... More

My girlfriend and I took advantage of the Winter Romance Package and it was well worth it. Deni and Marc are wonderful host. Our room was clean and well decorated and the bathroom was modernized with a strong shower that supplied lots of hot water. The highlight of our stay was the food. The breakfasts and dinner were amazing--we are... More

An elegant and grand country inn in the middle of a New England forest. Long winding driveway up to inn adds to the mystique. Wonderful room with all amenities, including equipment for making morning tea/coffee and sherry for the evening by the fireplace, which worked beautifully, was set, and had nice dry wood. Beautiful glass-enclosed dining porch with snow-falling outside... More

Thank you for your kind description. We have always felt that Clamber Hill is a magical place in the winter time and are glad that you feel that way too. We hope to see you again sometime, perhaps for one of our Romantic Winter Getaways when you and your husband can enjoy more than just a quick stay with us. More

The inn has wonderful woods for hiking and wildlife. We did not get on all of the trails but am looking forward to going back for more exploring. Accomodations were wonderful with period furnishings. Breakfast was served in a cozy dining room with a nice fire in the fireplace. More

We were looking for a relaxing getaway and we definitely found it at the Inn at Clamber HIll. Mark greeted us at the door and showed us to our room, which was the Charleston Room on the first floor. It was beautifully decorated and quite comfortable. The complimentary brandy was a nice touch. Mark made us a pot of tea,... More

The only problem I had with the inn is that we arrived late (6 PM) and could only stay one night. The entrance, a long driveway through a canopy of beautiful tall trees with large ferns and wild flowers welcomed my two friends and me. About a tenth of a mile from the entrance, the "enchanted forest" opens up to... More

The Inn met and exceeded our every expectation. We hoped for a relaxing, romantic getaway and were rewarded with one of the few stays where every detail seemed carefully, lovingly, intelligently attended to. About allergies: both my wife and I are VERY allergic to cats and horses, and less allergic (but still quite reactive) to dogs. We were put off... More

It's not surprising that the reviewer with pet allergies didn't enjoy themselves here, but I think most people will. Mark & Deni are great, down to earth people. The inn and land are amazing, but not stuffy. My wife and I felt completely at home (even though our home is nowhere near this nice!) The food was great and the... More
