While Menemsha Inn is a charming property and provides lovely service and accomodations, it should be known that they are unwilling/unable to pay commissions normally due on bookings. At least for the time being. This information came from Dennis, the Manager of the property. If the hotel is unable to pay commissions, who knows what else is not being attended... More

I had stayed in the Menemsha Inn in 1957, and this was my first return to Martha's Vineyard. while my memory is weak on 1957, I know the Inn has expanded and modernized since then, though it no longer serves dinners. But those can be had in their 'sister' properties - the Home Port Restaurant down by the harbor, or... More

We wish we could give this establishment no stars. We had reserved a room for single night as we were planning on staying a few nights in each town on Martha ’s Vineyard. It was going to be our first trip there and were excited to experience the small town island environment. Just prior to our trip my father was... More

This Inn is conveniently located on the quiet side of the island. We were lucky to have perfect weather and a lovely clean room with a view of the water. We stayed in the tea house which was easily accessible to the breakfast room and the main lobby (which makes popcorn available all day long). The staff were friendly, courteous... More

Wonderful place to stay. The room and the grounds are beautiful. Activities for children. Beach Plum Inn is next door and owned by the same folks. Beach Plum would be great for a romantic getaway. Great restaurant at the Beach Plum. Remember to bring your own wine. More

Just returned from a super relaxing Labor Day visit. I hadn't been to the vineyard for at least 15 years! But I did remember that the up island area was far more peaceful than crazy crowded Oak Bluffs and Edgartown. Menemsha is a tiny town, with just enough to keep you busy (if you want to be) for a few... More

Bob and Sara and the entire staff were amazing. We were stuck on the island when ferries stopped running. One friend left a day early and they refunded him his room for the last night. We needed to stay an extra night and they gave us a highly discounted rate. They also fed us a free (yes free) lunch brought... More

We recently stayed at the Menemsha Inn for a family vacation with our 3 children (4,6,7,) We had an amazing stay, and enjoyed every moment I depend on reviews for many trips and for hotel ratings especially. I went back and forth about booking my family vacation here. I stayed here back in 2003 (no kids) and had a great... More

I stayed at this inn last year, in a refurbished room in the "Tea House," and wrote a complimentary review. This past month I visited again, looking for a quiet place to get some work done. A stand-alone cottage was available---great. They looked really charming in the photos online. The cottages dot the lawn that overlooks Menemsha harbor. The atmosphere... More

I loved the view and everything else was awful! We rented a two story cottage and it was awful. The toilet was not flushed from previous renters and the carpet had stains all over it. When we thought it could not get worse it did. All the dishes had food on them and I did nothing but kill bugs running... More
