When I got the brochure of Captain Gosnold Cottages I thought it looked welcoming, but the actual cottage and grounds far surpass what I saw on paper. My husband & I had a one room cottage which included a totally equipped kitchen (fridge, microwave, stovetop & every dining/cooking need imaginable), full bath, sitting area, and a private deck with table,... The "Village" is a collection of charming grey-shingled cottages (very much traditional Cape Cod in appearance, but modern and well-maintained). Most of the units have small kitchens w/ dining areas, as well as gas-grills outside--a real convenience that very few places on the Cape provide. It appears that most have full living rooms with comfy chairs, couches, and cable TV.... More

Even though the cottages are close or attached to one another they are very private because of the beautiful landscaping. The gardens were beautiful the grounds clean and welcoming. We stayed at what they called the "motel" room and it was actually part of a small cabin with a seperate private garden with a balcony. The room was huge with... More

We stayed for four nights at the end of a three week to new England. We’d picked the place as a change from the hotels we’d been stopping in. Truth be told, we thought it might be a little “meh”. Their website and printed literature does them no favours. So, we were really surprised how well furnished the one bed... More

Spent a week here in september 2011 and stayed in the "Palace" 2 bed - Probably the nicest self catering i have ever stayed at - we cooked dinner and relaxed every evening as it was so pleasant staying here with 4 of us (2couples) in total. The decor and quality of our house was very good with every need... More

This was our 3rd stay at Capt Gosnold Village. The property is gorgeous-meticulously kept. The pool is wonderful after a day at the beach-only a 5 minute walk or a 1 minute bike ride to Sea Street beach. A convenient place to stay mid-Cape, with all the shopping and dining on Main Street and Hyannis Harbor only 1 mile away.... More

My family and I recently stayed at the Cottages over the 4th. We have been there for many years staying in different cottages ranging from smaller to a two bedroom this year. We even spent honeymoon there years ago on a chance. We have always liked it there and is an easy walk to downtown and beaches especially Sea St... More

We spent a week here at the beginning of June. Our 4th Visit over the last few years. It just never disappoints. Yes the beds are a little hard- I solved this by taking a spare duvet and sleeping on that. My friend found the beds very acceptable and not too hard. I guess it is personal preference. Jill and... We stayed at Capt Gosnold’s village for a week in June just before high season and the place was surprisingly quiet because the week after we were there the prices doubled. Our cottage was a one bedroom cottage with a very nice sitting room/ kitchen and a small but perfectly adequate bathroom. The cottage was covered with knick-knacks which we... More

After our 3 week traveling we ended up in Captain Gosnold where we rented a cabin for our family (3 teenage kids). A true hidden pearl in a peaceful environment. The landlady was so kind to teach us how to perfectly grill a swordfish steak. An unforgetable experience. Family de Jong, Vught The Netherlands
