What a sweet little town and a great alternative to downtown Gloucester! Walk to the ocean in all directions from the Inn. We had a room in the Annex next to the Main House, nice size bed and very spacious. The heat is electric and is difficult to control but fine once you figure it out. The rooms are a... More

Inn Magnolia is a lovely old house with an attached "annex". We stayed in an annex room with king sized bed. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast options were yogurt with various fruits and nuts and granola, cold cereals and a choice of pastry or muffin. Coffee was plentiful and really good (according to my husband!) and as a... Under new management, this gem is a wonderful place for a romantic getaway or a family weekend mini-vacation. I've stayed here several times through the years because I have family in the area but under Amanda's ownership, it has really improved. I definitely recommend the main house with antiques and beautiful rooms. Although it does have antiques, one never feels... More

My boyfriend and I came up from NJ for a weekend away, and we had a great experience. The Inn itself is cozy and inviting, with ample common space. The collection of old books was interesting to browse, and the ability to make tea whenever we wanted was a nice touch. We stayed in the Sargent Room (in the Annex),... More

We spent just one night at this Inn but will definitely return again and again! It has a lovely ambiance with antiques galore. Amanda, the Innkeeper, was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful in finding us a delicious restaurant, The Causeway, to eat dinner at on Saturday night. A continental breakfast was served in the diningroom from 8:30-10:00 a.m. with delicious... More

Stayed at Inn Magnolia for 2 nights the weekend of 10/26-10/28. The property was so quaint and cozy. I loved the Halloween decorations! I thought Amanda was very helpful and pleasant to talk with. Stayed in the Corner room which is up on the 3rd floor. The room is so incredibly cute and had views of the ocean out the... More

Friend and I reserved the 'least expensive' yet 'close enough to Salem for Halloween Weekend", room we could find. Third Floor, two double beds, shared bath for 88 bucks! (plus tax) What a bargain, and beautiful appointed with charm and interest. Built in 1880 as a '2nd home' this Inn is well maintained, relaxing and the continental breakfast was yummy.... More

Stayed last weekend....room was exactly what we were expecting from the website pictures. It was every bit as cozy and quaint. The house was beautiful, with lots of charming detail. Amanda, the owner, was very present, but only in a good way. Not intrusive, but helpful, if stand-offish, but not unfriendly. We shared a bathroom, but it was never an... More

Ok this was just chosen since it was less than 10 miles from where we needed to be, but Magnolia is a bit far down the path. I was hoping for a good place to eat in a quaint town within walking distance. No such luck with the local establishments. If you’re not a townie, I don’t think you are... More

I felt the room was spacious enough, the shower was hot, there was a lock on the door, the bed was fairly comfortable and the sheets were clean-all for almost $200. I could have overlooked the dumpy neighborhood, extreamly cold "welcome" and post it notes stating not to use the milk in the mini fridge for ANYTHING but coffee or... More
