From the start, Camp Merryelande was a disappointment. Maybe this is a not-summer-yet problem, but our reservation was mixed up, we were told on the phone that taxes were included in our (high!) price, and then charged $22 per night in taxes when we arrived, we were told we could rent boats during our stay only to find out that... Actually the beach area was nice but the campground was an unsanitary chaiotic nightmare. We have been to about 15 different campgrounds in the mid-atlantic area and this one was by far the most pathetic. Their website was deceiving. They try to pack in way too many people in a confined area. One sight had six tents in it. The... More

We stayed at Camp MD over Memorial Day weekend with a large group in one of the bigger cottages. The cottage would be quite pretty if it was kept up ... as it was it was absolutely sub-par. There were three refridgerators of which two were not in use when we got there. Then we noticed that the one working... More

I booked the #10 cottage for the weekend. When my wife and I arrived and parked our vehicle we thought the cottage was nice, the outside was better than I had thought. However to our dissmay we entered the cottage and were greeted with the awful, foul smell of stale cigarette smoke. It smelled like a frat house after the... More

Brought our RV down for a weekend. At the entrance, we were met with bulk trash (used couches and other garbage and debris). The bath houses were really dirty and outdated and there were empty beer cans and other garbage strewn around the campground. The beach was very nice if you were able to find a place to swim between... More
