What a hidden gem this is!! I was touring around in Southern Maryland and upon a friend's recommendation was going to stay in Solomons. I arrived at Solomons mid-morning and didn't feel it had what I was looking for. The couple of B&B's I saw there were situated a street and parking lot away from the water, so I ventured... More

We recently spent 3 nights at Island Inn and Suites. Upon arrival, we were told we were upgraded to a suite. That was great! Our suite overlooked the bay, in fact it felt like we were on a cruise, as all you could see when walking in was the balcony and the water. We had every amenity, the decorating was... More

Dear Relaxed_from_PA, We are so thrilled you chose our hotel. With a name like Relaxed_from_PA I think we must have been a perfect find. With our serene views I sometimes find it hard to believe I am actually at work. While we can not always guarantee a specific view we do have a lot of guests that will try to... More

Very Clean, Modern, and comfortable. We found everything we needed including: microwave, small frig, sink, dishes, coffee pot, hangers, hairdryer, soap, shower gel and lotion. Our room was overlooking the parking lot and road ( the river side is better-less noisey), however the sunset view was awesome. The front counter people are very nice and helpful. Only one drawback on... More

Extreme clean! pretty new, very friendly folks. Spectacular sunset from our balcony over the Potomac River. If on the other side of the hotel you'd get a nice Sunrise over the pier on the creek. There’s a nice restaurant next door the Inn to be reviewed separately. Our stay was too short but there are kayak’s & bikes for use... More

If you want a peaceful and quiet getaway with delicious meals surrounded by water, this is the place for you. However, don't expect much of a city life. There is free kayaks, bikes provided by the hotels. We bought groupon vouches which came with dining vouches and snacks which is a great deal. The food in the restaurant owned by... More

What a treasure to find, amid rustic paradise. Don't let the simple exterior fool you. The guest rooms are chock-full of of such 'luxe amenities as plush bedding, gorgeous huge bathrooms and balconies with adirondak chairs to watch the sunset over the Potomac. They even lend you kayaks, gratis! Chat with manager is a wealth of information and great suggestions... More

My wife and I made a trip to Piney Point to visit friends and decided to stay the night. We saw a sign saying "entertainment" and decided to stay. As it turns out there was now band that night but the food was good, the staff was excellent, the rooms were wonderful and the view is great. We very much... More

We arrived at sunset and the light was filling the room - beautiful. Went out on the deck to have a glass of wine - lots of trash thrown around in the litte AC room - not to worry - just an oversight. Rooms were great size, nicely furnished - was that a roach??? no-lets go to dinner next door.... More

Oh my gosh BillieJeanne I just saw your review. I am so sorry I didn't respond sooner. I am so sorry to hear about your "extra visitors" and the lack of attention to cleanliness. I am so sorry. Our team works very hard to make sure everything is perfect. I am so sorry we dropped the ball on this one.... More

I saw this hotel on Groupon and and am so glad I bought it. For $120 I got a standard room on the second floor (#212), a $30 credit at the Island Bar & Crab House next door, a credit for two margaritas at the restaurant, a credit for two free sodas from the hotel, and a snack pack which... More

We had a standard room on the sunrise side. Love watching the sunrise from our bed. The hotel is a gem. Bobby at the front desk is friendly and has great knowledge of the area. We passed on the continental breakfast all box cereals heavy on sugars. The should offer bagels or muffins. The restaurant next door was OK we... More
