We stayed at the Inn on Decatur after a bluegrass festival. My husband and I planned to stay at the Inn. My daughter and her husband were camping at the festival and experienced a horrible rainstorm. We brought our daughter and husband back with us because their tent was flooded. Gail was just wonderful. She made all of us feel... More

The Inn on Decatur was our 7-yr old daughter's first experience with a B&B. It is very well set up for a family with the separate kitchen and large en suite bathroom. The room ("George's room") was lovely and very welcoming. The bathroom was heavenly. Our daughter liked it so much she insisted on taking a shower. And I enjoyed... More

Gail was a big help before I even stayed at her inn. She sent me all kinds of information about the GAP trail. I called her several more times before I begain the trail and again she was a wealth of knowledge. The inn is lovely with a great little kitchen for your use. I was able to soak in... More

My wife and I stayed at The Inn on Decatur while on a bicycle trip on the C&O Canal and Allegheny Gap Trail. Unfortunately, during the night, I developed a medical condition and had to go to the hospital in the morning. Gail Hall, the B&B owner, was leaving for several days and had planned to close the B&B. She... More

We stayed on a Saturday evening for only one night, but would return in a heartbeat. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Perhaps the best part was the breakfast spread! As we made a late reservation and the proprietor was going to have to leave early on Sunday, she apologized for not being able to provide the usual breakfast,... More

We biked the GAP Trail and C&O Canal Towpath in June, and this was our stay on our 4th night. The host, Gail, goes out of her way to make bicyclists feel pampered and welcomed. We stayed in a spacious queen bedroom with an incredibly large, clean, and well-appointed bathroom - heaven to a biker after a long day's ride.... More

On a spur moment I decided to stay overnight in Cumberland on a business trip. With not many options of B&B's I was delightfully surprised with the Inn of Decatur! The Inn Keeper was very pleasant and helpful to my needs. The room was very comfortable & clean with plenty of space to relax. There was private parking and easy... More

We are three friends who spent a few days bike riding the C&O trail. Over six days, we stayed in five different Inns. The Inn on Decatur is: Historic row house; clean; comfortable; With: abundant and delicious breakfast; friendly and accommodating host (Gail). We would stay here again!

My wife and I spent one night at the Inn on Decatur while cycling the C & O Canal from Cumberland, MD. Our spacious, clean and comfortable room was in the back of the house where noise from a railroad about a quarter mile away might be a problem but we heard little train noise. It was one of the...
