This was the most haunted place I have ever stayed. I had no idea. I saw the place on line and picked it because it was close to where I had to conduct some business. I was placed in what I believed were the former slave's quarters. All night long, all I heard were what sounded like heavy chains being... More

I contacted this Inn regarding a Sweet Sixteen. I promptly sent a deposit of $1500 which the cashed immediately. Due to a family emergency the party was cancelled and I gave them a seven and half months notice. I was told I would receive a refund but to give them until June 1, that came and went, than I was... I would have rated the Inn "okay with problems," but it was worse than that. It was not okay. The bed sheets were awful--we had two rooms and both were the same. The sheets were fitted but the wrong size in both rooms, so we wound up partly on the bare matress, partly on wrinkled sheets. The view out the... More

I also stayed in this B&B in March, with my wife. We had a great time. The staff was wonderful, very gracious and helpful. the ambience of the older buildings was great. And the food was out of this world! Great restaurant. We stayed in Daniels Room in the main building. The renovations are quite a nice improvement, based on... More

The bad, the ugly, and the uglier What can you say about a B&B when the best part is “escaping” and returning home ? My husband & I went to the Catoctin Inn with our best friends for a 2 night get away. The weekend began with the proprietor “surprised” to see us and uncertain as to the length of... More

What a romantic setting! My husband and I recently stayed at The Catoctin Inn & Resort and had a wonderful time. Now under new ownership, since February we were told, The Catoctin Inn was the perfect place to getaway to! We had a superb meal at Quills at The Catoctin which is their new fine dining colonial restaurant complete with... More

For our aniversary, my husband took me to dinner at the Catoctin Inn (I thought). Quite a romantic place. The food was superb, the service great, and the gentleman playing the harp was fantastic! When dinner was finally over (and after a bottle of wine) the staff brought out an array of deserts for our enjoyent. One even had a... More

We were very disappointed in this B&B. The country breakfast consisted of thin french toast with watery maple syrup and about a teaspoon of powdered sugar with watery coffee, OJ and fruit. The air conditioner didn't work properly, the TV remote control didn't work at all, there were stains in the jets of the whirlpool tub, and the plastic table... More
