My husband and I have stayed twice at the Blue Skye Farm for short getaway weekends in the off season. Because we live 4 hours away, both times we have arrived late, after the innkeepers retired for the evening. Both times, we have found notes welcoming us, the first time providing directions to our room, and the second time stating... More

Stayed there during a holiday in New England in October 2012.I turned up on the off chance and late in the afternoon and was immediately made to feel welcome and at home, being offered tea and a seat next to a very inviting log fire. The sitting room and dining room are full of beautiful furniture, the bedroom was ideal and the breakfast... We stayed three night while visiting friends. Lovely breakfast of homemade muesli, fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee followed by eggs, French toast or another sweet or savory dish. Our bed was comfortable and smelled wonderfully fresh. We were upstairs in the Upper South which has a fireplace, a small sofa, and a desk. No closets but plenty of hangers on... More

If you are traveling along the coast of Maine make sure you stop over at Blue Skye Farm. Our stay exceeded our expectations. This Virginian felt right at home. Take a step back in time. The house dates from 1775. The stairwell and hall have the original stencils which are now owned by the Society for the Preservation of New... More

We chose Blue skye Farm because of it's proximity to favorite areas of Maine for our family, but we had never been here before. It exceeded our expectations. The house is magnificent. Beautifully restored and decorated with authentic, antique pieces of furniture, art and books, it was easy to just stay right there without wanting to see anything else. The... More

Blue Skye is a tranquil bit of countryside not far from Route 1 and the village of Waldoboro. I stopped for one night while traveling up and down the coast. What a wonderful 18th century farmhouse! Elegant yet comfortable. Jan was an excellent host, and breakfast was wonderful. I had a great time enjoying breakfast and conversation with the other... More

We just got back from Blue Skye and we had a great time! At first we weren't sure because it's very isolated and there are no TV's in the room but, it gave my husband and I the opportunity to spend quality time together. Jan, the owner was a doll!!! She made the most amazing breakfasts. She was really nice... More

Jan is the utmost host. The house is lovely. The breakfast is delicious, fresh, and cheerfully made. The rooms are large, comfy, with nice mattresses, sheets, pillows. They are each somewhat distinct in decoration. We stayed for almost a week, and had two different rooms, as our stay was last minute. This is a fabulous B&B. The best I've ever... More

We chose Blue Skye Farm as our home away from home for the Fourth of July holiday, and we're glad we did. The close proximity to the shops and restaurants of Wiscasset and Damariscotta gave us plenty to occupy ourselves, while the B&B's well-maintained 1770's structure, rolling grounds, and charming and helpful innkeeper provided a level of comfort in league... My wife and I stayed two nights at Blue Skye Inn, as part of our anniversary trip to mid-coast Maine. We love the area, and we stayed at a pair of b&b's, our experience at Blue Skye Inn was . . . quaint. First of all, a couple of things about the property in general - the house is a... More
