I had a very nice two night stay at the Inn! Gina was so kind and helpful - and she always had a great suggestion for places to visit. The breakfast was fantastic! The lake is great for snowshoeing, and the federal fish hatchery is right on the other side. The inn is tidy, homey, and simple. I used the... More

My girlfriend and I were looking for a romantic weekend away and found it at the Alamoosook Inn. Gina the owner is as sweet amd helpful as could be. We were there during a semi blizzard and she called around to find us a place to eat. She was cheerful and engaging. They have snowshoes for use as well as... More

I last visited the Alamoosook Lakeside Inn in October 2008 and I was so impressed by the Inns accommodations that I vowed to return in the not too distant future. Recently I stayed again at the Alamoosook with the aim of enjoying the Inn and its surroundings in Winter. I was so impressed with the number of improvements to the... More

It was so nice to have you back again. We have been working over the winter to upgrade our rooms with new bathroom fixtures, beds and decor. I'm glad you like our efforts. We hope you'll be back soon. More

I had another wonderful stay at the Alamoosook Lakeside Inn, thank you! The view was spectacular with the lake all frozen and perfect for skating, walking, snow mobiling, etc. And we awoke the next morning to freshly fallen snow, perfect! Gina and her staff were so welcoming and always available. The room was spatious, clean, quiet, and all the ammenities... More

After being turned away by 7 or so closed Inn's near Blue Hill, Gina not only took us in but provided us shelter, warmth and even some delicious homemade blueberry pancakes! We pulled up to find a lovely secluded space and was greeted by Gina inside. She was very welcoming, provided great recommendations for nearby food, asked when we'd like... More

This hotel has a fabulous setting on a lake with great views, swimming, hiking nearby and equipment for canoeing and kayaking. The grounds and setting get five stars. The lounge in the lodge is very comfortable and the breakfast was great. The rooms, however, are not nearly as great. They could use some updating, but that part is ok. The... More

My wife Sandra and I do not give five stars to many places we have stayed. But we give Gina's Alamoosook Inn five stars without hesitation. In fact, we would return tomorrow if we could. Why? First, Gina and her beautiful lake. She's a genuine, warm, friendly and capable hostess who loves her lake. She can suggest many ways to... More

I felt the room compared more to a motel and not a New England Inn. I did notice some of the other rooms and they looked to be a little more comfy and cute than the one we were in so that might be it too. The bed frame was old and squeaky and the room should be updated with... More

What a treasure on the lake. Innkeeper Gina does a wonderful job of making guests feel welcome. Each cozy room comes with a private bath and access to the grounds, which face a breathtaking lake and include unlimited use of canoes. You can paddle across the gentle lake to fun and easy hikes, visit the US Fish and Wildlife Atlantic... More

The Inn lights welcomed us when we 4 travel weary ladies arrived at midnight, our room keys awaited us. We tip-toed down the hall to our rooms-- welcoming, charming, immaculately clean & with comfortable beds. The morning showed us how lucky we were in choosing our inn; it is nestled in trees, on spacious grounds with the magnificent Alamoosook Lake... More
