This past weekend we met friends in Maine for a long weekend. We live in Massachusetts and they live in Vermont. We met in Kittery for a nice lunch & then headed north on Route 1 in search of a reasonable motel for the night. We found a great little motel a 1/2 mile north of the Village of Ogunquit.... More

This was our first stay at the Stage Run and we were very pleased with this motel. We were there off season, so the pool was not open (it was cold and rainy anyway so wouldn't have used it if it had been). The room had been recently painted and was very well decorated. All the fixtures, appliances, etc. were... More

In 2011 we happened to find the Stage Run on a road trip from CT to ME. We liked it so much we are meeting friends from MA to stay together there this October. The owner headed us in the right direction for a lobster supper as well as a great breakfast.

We had a reunion at the State Run Motel. There were 18 people in 7 rooms. Everyone was happy with the accomodations. The rooms are very clean and there was a nice pool. Debbie, the owner, is very helpful recommending places to go for sightseeing and restaurants to eat at. We all look forward to returning again.

Just stayed for a girls' get-away. Conveniently located. Good price. Clean room with fridge and microwave which came in very handy. Debbie, the owner, is warm and welcoming. Would definitely stay again.

We've been staying at this Hotel for the past three years while going on our annual fall shopping trip to the states... and intend to stay for many more! The owner is great and very personable, she gives us advice on where to eat, etc. She makes us feel very welcome and comfortable during our stay. Had a small leaking... More

We keep going back to this Motel year after year. We have stayed at other Hotels/ Motels in the area but at the Stage Run, the owners make the difference. Great location, a 7 minute walk to the downtown area and a 15 minute walk to beach. Free parking at Motel, and if you don't need to drive best to... More

LIKE PRISON - can't smoke at pool can't drink at pool. Pool was DIRTY didn't clean it only once in 7 days. Rooms were not clean at all. Noise at night was terrible. Owners were not friendly at all. We only asked them for two things daily....1. An ironing board (which was so dirty you sure didn't want to lay... More

I'm sorry that this guest felt that our motel was like a prison but i would like to address their concerns: 1. Smoking laws were passed by the state and we are only enforcing them. There is to be no smoking within 20ft of any door, window or vent or in any /common public ares. Due to the fact that... More

This motel had a recent outside paint job and looks great. Office personnel was very nice and helpful. A clean, well-kept Mom and Pop kind of motel. The fan in the bathroom was a bit loud but all in all, a good place. Walkable to breakfast and lobstah!

I love Ogunquit. Another motel suggested this one, since we were having a hard time to find a place to stay during the Labour Day week-end. Its a clean and well located motel, but there is a big problem: its a rip off! Beware, should you cancel (way in advance), they automatically charge you $US 15. I had to cancel... More
