We have been coming to the Dunes for 15 consecutive years and stayed in numerous cottages….we love them all. Cottage suites are our favorite…fireplaces, and fully equipped kitchens. Beautiful quiet grounds, exceptionally clean, dependable, and they always maintain the same high quality. You are in the middle of everything, but feel far away from the crowds. This is my wife’s...

We returned in September 2011 with our grown children and grands, along with my mom-four generations of "Dunes-lovers". We started going there in 1978 and have tried to return as often as possible. We often have friends join us, which makes our stay even better. Having grown up in Maine, The Dunes is the epitome of " a week at...

We booked a guest cottage for two to celebrate a milestone birthday in October and found The Dunes to be an absolute treasure. The manager marked our special occasion with small gifts and a heartfelt note, rounding out the beautiful location with exemplary service. We stayed for three nights and would have stayed longer if we could. The peaceful setting,...

After spending two weeks in comfortable but large hotels this was a wonderful find. As has been said before the grounds are so well maintained and with the cottages spread out it is very relaxing. Being right on the beach was an added bonus even thorough we stayed in October and it was getting cold the beach always adds to...

A great place to stay, something different than a "usual" hotel. We chose a room in one of the cottages without the kitchenette. Stayed off season 10/2011. So clean and cozy, plenty of room and definately charming. If you have the ability to look at the rooms before you choose, it is a plus as the setups vary. The grounds...

Great location....we walked to the Lobster Pound for dinner and the Egg and I for breakfast. We had our wine on the lawn and watched the Atlantic at sunset. Fairly close to town. Rooms were clean, but without charm.

We stayed in the old hotel part of the dunes and were very pleased with our stay, The place knows how to stay charming with subtle updates to ensure they are staying with the times as well. We went in early October and loved everything about the location and look forward to staying here again in the future as the...

Quiet setting right in the midst of Ogunquit. There are multiple options for accommodations, we stayed in a hotel room that was right near the water. Room 23. It was very clean and bright with well maintained furnishings. I liked the touch of a single brew Keurig coffee maker. A small frig helped keep beverages cold. Each cottage or room...

I've stayed here a number of times. I always come back because it's such a peaceful and quiet place to relax, with a wonderful nostelgic atmosphere. The grounds are situated right across from the ocean dunes, well beyond the busy street. I look forward to my yearly visits.
