This place is yummy! We ate here during our stay in Maine. We had the best service, best meal, and they have a variety of tasty items to choose from!!! The filet mignon was delicious!!! We had the chocolate molten cake and the Banana bread pudding - mmmmmm!!!!! Definitely worth it!

I'd recommend both the inn and the restaurant. I've eaten at the Old Village Inn 4 times, and each time have enjoyed everything I've had. The inn is clean and comfortable. Room 4 has a great view of the ocean! The manager, Bill, is very welcoming. He thoughtfully upgraded our room when there was a cancellation. What a treat to... More

Went there for dinner with a friend. Our reservation was for 7 and we were seated promptly. The inn is old and the atmosphere reflects that, dark woods, very colonial. We started with Classic Escargot and Iceberg Salad. The salad was excellent, very fresh, and the balsamic dressing, just enough. The escargot were very tender, my only complaint would be... More

The Old Village Inn is just one of those places you never forget. It is warm and welcoming. The accomodations are great and the restaurant is amazing. I would recommend the Inn to anyone. I have been there many times and it just keeps getting better each time. They have a great mixture of tourists and local people...truly great place... More

We stayed there for 2 nights. I just hated it. The place is in desperate need of a major renovation. When you get in the Inn, it smells "musty". The carpets in the stair case and hallway have seen better days. The room itself is large, it consist of a 2 rooms suite. The bedroom part was quaint. The windows... More

We have been going to the OVI 3 times a year (off season) for the last 3 years. Initially we were very pleased with the Inn as they are dog friendly and we love the location. When we travel we like to stay at locally owned places rather than chains and don't mind mis-matched towels, bedding, and little quirks that... More

Filthy, disgusting, repulsive. If Trip Advisor had a rating system with 'minus'...this place would take top place with a "-5" or worse. And they seem to consider burned BLACK toast to be a culinary delicacy at breakfast. We've travelled the world, and this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Be forewarned.

Decided to stop in for a relaxing Sunday breakfast while in town. The staff acted as if WE should be waiting on THEM...Though the quality of the food was good, our visit was tainted by slow service and the restaurant not willing to accept and credit us for a gift card we had for the Old Village Inn. The manager... More
