Starting to type this review, I immediately start to drool like Pavlov's dogs, thinking of the wonderful breakfast we had at the Spouter Inn. Paul and Catherine do a great breakfast job and I would have stayed to see what they would do for lunch and dinner, would they have been a restaurant. But unfortunately it's breakfast only! The building... More

I stopped here with my husband for one night while passing through the area and we felt so lucky to have stumbled on such a gem! The inn and grounds are immaculate and the hosts were so welcoming and friendly. We stayed in the Captain's room, which was extremely spacious and clean. We lit the fireplace and enjoyed the quiet... My husband and I spent two nights at the Spouter Inn in October as part of a week long jaunt up the coast of Maine. The inn is gorgeous; lovingly restored and maintained. It's location, right on busy Route 1, wasn't much of an issue this late in the season. It was nice to be able to walk to two... More

This was our second stay at the Inn. The Inn is beautiful and the breakfasts delicious. We find the location to be great for exploring the coast of Maine. There are several good restaurants within walking distance as well as an easy drive. Even though the Inn is located across US 1 from the Bay, the traffic is light and... More

Sometimes one is fortunate enough to get the "whole package", just north of Camden, ME (another little WOW! hamlet) there is Lincolnville, directly on the Atlantic. The Spouter Inn, a B&B of a gone by era. Very charming hosts who care so much about your well being and then the breakfast....! OUTSTANDING! The rooms are super clean very comfortable and... More

My family stayed at the Spouter Inn during an August 2012 trip to Maine, our first, needless to say not our last. The stay was most enjoyable, the Inn itself has a great history, the owners are wonderful people as well. The location was perfect for various day tips and related activities. I would certainly look forward to visiting The... More

We stayed here for two nights in August and loved it. The Inn is very well maintained. Excellent breakfast and options to select from each morning. Catherine and Paul were very gracious and attentive. I had been skeptical before we arrived because of the location on Route 1 which has a lot of traffic. I thought that maybe we would... More

We truly einjoyed our 5 night stay at the Spouter Inn. The hosts and owners of the inn, Catherine and Paul, made us feel very welcome in their home. They have spent 25 years as innkeepers and it is obvious by their attention to details. They are warm and friendly and we felt comfortable in their home. They have meticulously... More

The Spouter Inn sits a few miles north of Camden directly across Route 1 from a rare stretch of sand beach and has an unsurpassed view of Penobscot Bay, particularly at sunrise. The home, originally built in 1832, was rebuilt by owners Paul and Catherine Lippman a number of years ago, and is meticulously appointed. The common areas, including the... More
