The Inn has the fantastic dinners that everyone has described. Since we were in the Captain's Quarters, we had a nice size room with a private bath with a large shower and lots of hot water. The bed was fine with hand made quilt done by Diana's mother on top. Breakfast was not great compared to dinner, but the hostess,... More

As part of our vacation to Bar Harbor National Forest, we decided to spend two nights at the Inn at Isle au Haut. The only way to get to the island is by Ferry. What a lovely ride on the Ferry seeing the fog and blue skies. The Islands vistas, rocks, pebbles are spectacular. The Inn was quaint and rustic.... More

If you want to have a totally different experience, away from the tourist experience and luxuriate in the beauty of nature this is a 'MUST DO'. Diana is fabulous. She strikes just the right balance of helpful inn keeper and watchful adventure adviser, without that smothering B&B feeling. And then there is her food: She cooks all of your meals!... More

Diana creates smells from the kitchen that entice the guests throughout the day. When the meals are served, there is no denying the accuracy of the wonderful smells - her cooking is fantastic! The beds are comfortable, the view is spectacular and the Inn is charming, cozy and very inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the porch, reading a book... More

My wife and I have stayed at many B&B's in the US and Europe, and we agree that this one stands apart. The view from the inn is spectacular -- sitting on the porch, you will look out over the ocean while hummingbirds and butterflies flutter around you. Although I had read the reviews, I was still amazed at the... More

If you like the combination of relaxation, fine dining, and attention to detail, this is for you. Although this is not easily accessible, it is worth the effort. Diana goes out of her way to make sure you are extremely well fed, to see it all and relax at the same time. A waterfront setting and Cadilac Mtn in the... More

in 35 years we have never had such a beautiful and relaxing vacation. We woke in the mornings to the pleasant sounds of the ocean hitting shore just a couple hundred feet from your bedroom window. Then you begin the day with a wonderful breakfast prepared by Diana, who also prepares a hearty lunch for you on a day that... More

Not for those who want to shop 'til you drop or boogy with the gang. Diana's little inn is a quiet, relaxing bit of heaven by the sea. The food is ample and world class, the service and ambience, while rustic (this is coastal Maine, after all) couldn't be better. It's like wrapping yourself in a warm blanket on a... More

You must take a 45 minute Ferry trip to get to the Island and Dianna meets you at the Town Landing. After a short ride to the Inn and you are able to see the building and grounds you just know you made the right choice. The views across the water are great and the Inn is very nice. The... More
