The Towne Motel looks rather unassuming. It's on the main drag into Camden, has no views to speak of, and it doesn't appears flashy. What it has, though, is stuff that can't be bought or faked: lots of friendly charm. The owners obviously take pride in providing great service, and they take great care of the place. The continental breakfast... More

Nothign but superlatives!A spacious nice room with wi-fi,at walking distance from downtown and the harbour. The owners,Jane and husband are extremely nice and helpful hosts who did their best to make our stay agreable. We received a tasty home made breakfast in a very nice and warmly furnished dining room. And all this at an unbeleivable price/Excellent deal, highly recommended. my mother and i spent a week in April 2013 at the Towne Motel in Camden, Maine. normally Camden would be out of our price range for a whole week but this pretty motel made it not only possible but was the perfect situation for us to relax in town and enjoy daytrips along the central Maine coast. a terrific... I stayed at the Town motel for tree nights, so I had tree times lovely breakfast! The room was nice and clean. And towncentre is at short walking distance. I recommend this also for people travelling on there own. The hosts will take good care of you.

Awesome location, and friendly folks. We didn't have a reservation, but were able to get a very nice room at a reasonable price. The location is easy walking distance to all the sites, and our only regret is that we could not stay longer. Thank you.

The warm welcome, great coffee, and fresh baked breakfast pastries were a great start to cold and snowy February days. The hosts made you feel like family, and had many great tips for restaurants and Winter activities. The location close to the town center allowed for walking even on the coldest days. The room was fresh and clean (and warm!),... More

What a great find! This motel offers great service and a convenient location for a reasonable price. The hosts made me feel right at home, and were very warm and welcoming. The breakfast is unique and homecooked every morning-definitely a change from other motels I've stayed at. On any future trips to the area, I'll be sure to check in... More

The Towne Motel has been around for a lot of years so it's certainly doing something right. The good news: price and location. The bad news: interior and exterior noise level. If you're an early bird and ready for the rooster (figuratively speaking here) then you will most likely not mind the Towne Motel. Inadequate noise dampening from within (other... More

We appreciate all feedback and take our reviews seriously, especially the few average ratings we have received over many years. Any guest concern brought to us personally is successfully resolved prior to checkout if at all humanly possible. Our small family run motel offers a modest price value rate for visitors in Camden, a town know for up-scale real estate... More

Were this motel on the outskirts of town, and all you got were the rooms, then I would have given it an average rating. The room is perfectly adequate, but unremarkable, and just like lots of other motels around the country. However, its location is very convenient for the town of Camden, taking less than five minutes to walk to... More

We have previously stayed at pricey B&Bs in Camden, including one next door to the Towne Motel. Our "motel" experience was not only less expensive but the new owners now offer a B&B breakfast in their historic home. The home fronts the street with a two story motel jutting off the back. It's just three blocks from downtown and the... More
