This was my first stay at a "boutique inn", what I think of as a high end bed and breakfast. My boyfriend and I were speechless at the beauty of the Inn, and how elegantly it is decorated. We stayed in the Copper Beech tree room which has it's own bathroom and an extra sitting room with a single bed.... More

My wife and me had our best days on our holiday at The White House Inn. Santiago, the co-owner, greeted us very warmly. We felt being at home. The building is so beautyful. Our room was perfect. The whole stay was comfortable. The extremely helpful recommendations made our trip a very pleasant one. We won't forget the beautiful days in... More

We were warmly greeted and welcomed into this majestic and meticulous Inn by owners Sandy and Diana Rich. Our room was cozy, comfortable and clean. The owners were extremely helpful with sightseeing and dining recommendations. We were served a scrumptious gourmet breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice. We look forward to our next visit! Visiting the Maine coast on a long holiday weekend, we were fortunate to get a room at the White House Inn. The White House is by far one of the most beautiful homes in a town chock full of historic buildings, and it has been meticulously maintained by the owners, Sandy and Diana. Sandy and Diana are delightful hosts, who... More

We felt the hospitality from Santiago the minute we entered The White House. Since we were there 4 nights, we took the opportunity to drive each day to other places as Belfast was a central location for doing so. We were always happy each day to return "home" to the WH. Santiago suggested several choices for dinner that were delicious... More

We chose the White House Inn in Belfast because our first choice was not available and we were in a time crunch. Noone had ever mentioned this property to us but it had a king bed and a queen bed available for the nights we needed and we are well-traveled enough to know that everything does not need to be... My wife and I just returned from our vacation in Maine. The White House Inn was outstanding and top-notch. We slept in the Cooper Beech Suite and wish we could have stayed there longer. It was nice to have Santiago give us a tour and history of the house as we arrived. We definitely plan on returning for a longer... More

A few years ago, a travel magazine carried on its cover something about the ten coolest small towns in America with Belfast, Maine, being one. Having never heard of Belfast, my wife and I took a chance on our summer visit to Maine and booked a room at the White House Inn in Belfast. We have rarely experienced such a... More

The Maine coast is a charm, with its traditional houses, nice arts and crafts shops, gorgeous sea panoramas, and lots of lobster. This wonderful family-run hotel in Belfast is the ideal venue for an unforgettable holiday. The White House is deservedly listed in the National Register of Historic Places as a fine example of Maine architecture. You have to go... More

My mom and I spent five nights in Maine in the height of the tourist season. We split the nights between The White House and a highly-touted B&B in Camden, ME. Oh, how I wish we had just stayed the entire five days with Diana and Santi! When we arrived, Santi greeted us at the door, invited us into the... More
