Second time at CA's. A few details short of perfect, but again great stay overall. We love the location and accommodations. The kids got to enjoy the heated pool, which was a highlight of their stay. We were upgraded free of charge to Little CA's to accomodate a family with pets in the Carriage house, which we had originally booked.... More

We booked this place online...and were in a hurry, so I guess that some of what followed was our own fault. Firstly, we learned, after a phone call from the proprietors, that the "B&B" aspect applied only on the weekends....and we were there NOT on the weekend (we stayed Christmas eve and Christmas Day.) So, I'd have to say that... More

We visited C. A. Bed and Breakfast at the last minute so not much research went into our trip. We reserved the Carriage House- w/o breakfast- and were extremely pleased. The Carriage House does not have the elegance of the main house but it is very comfortable and quite clean. I like to walk barefoot so I notice things like... More

We had a fabulous time at CA's House in Lake Charles, LA. We luckily had the run of the house and the pool, since it was July. The manager made sure our stay was perfect and helped us find decent places to eat.

What a gorgeous, charming B&B! Unfortunately we only had an overnight stay which was the only bad thing about our experience here. We were lucky enough to be the only guests staying in the house at the time so it felt like we owned the whole place! It is beautiful inside & out and the photos don't even do it... More

My husband and I stayed at C.A's House with 4 other couples to celebrate a recent wedding and birthday with friends and family. The house was beautiful and clean. The beds were also very comfortable. Jessica, the house manager, prepared an awesome breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning. She cooked for 10 of us and each time the food was... More

We're from Montreal, Canada. We were looking for a good B&B outside major commercial areas in Southwestern Louisiana and found the perfect spot. A beautiful classic home, with large front porch and garden at the rear. The room was roomy and clean, with a nice fireplace. Very charming! Great hospitality and flexible service. We particularly appreciated tips on local dining... More

We're from Baton Rouge; we were in Lake Charles overnight for a wedding. Most of the other wedding guests stayed at one of the casino hotels. That's not our cup of tea, so we stayed at this highly recommended B & B, which is in a quiet residential neighborhood near downtown. It turned out to be just a few blocks... More

I booked C.A.'s House B & B as a treat for my mother's birthday so she could experience a nice southern bed and breakfast. The place is wonderful and Jessica made our stay even more enjoyable. The room was big and spacious, as well as private. The breakfast was fantastic, they food and the way it was presented. Would definitely... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Built in 1900 by Walter Goos which lived with his wife Annie Green. In 1975 C.A. King II restored it which I feel is only right to have named the Bed and Breakfast after my Uncle that saved it. After my Uncle died we sold it to pay taxes and in 2001 Tanis Robinson (me) bought it back. Made of cypress outside with 4 columns square in shape unique to Lake Charles area with a very large porch to rock your cares away believe me it works. As you walk inside down stairs most of the walls have canvas on them with a mahogany staircase that runs all the way to the thrid floor. There is 3 rooms on the second floor and one very large room on the thrid floor. In the back I have the carriage house which was made into an apartment for kids and pets. On weekends we serve a full southern breakfast. If you need to know anything about Lake Charles we could help where to eat, what is good. Lake Charles is a slow town, a place to stop off if you are coming from Houston going to New Orleans or just wanting to come gamble or to make someone feel like you really wanted to make them important to you... we are that place to look into. We have had some really great people stay with us over the years. Some you know and some you don't but each of the people that come leave something really great with us....us knowing they were glad they came. ... more   less
