I've been here numerous times for business and pleasure trips. The best part of the place is the people. Sandy has taken care of me at breakfast the past few years and always starts my morning with a smile and her kindness. She's really great and attentive.
Otherwise the location is great, Sway restaurant, open lobby, very comfortable beds and the convenient parking. Always clean. Never have had a problem throughout my various stays.

Don't get this room, it's directly under the neon lights outside and you'll have a constant buzzing loud noise 24/7. When we were moved to another room it was very quiet. Clean Rooms. Everyone is friendly. The Restaurant has great food.

The rooms were nice sized but the beds were too hard for my liking. Also the cleaning staff did not do a good job as our first room had hair in the bathtub and sink as well as crumbs in the main area. We were able to switch rooms and found a peanut when we walked in. It was in good proximity to most places but make sure you realize parking is $20 per day on top of your hotel. Also there was no continental breakfast and the cafe/restaurant they had was very limited in hours and menu choices. I would. It stay here again unless I could get the price down under $100.

Being a globalist with Hyatt hotels, I am sad to write this review about Hyatt Regency Louisville,
Quite honest I am tired of businesses blaming their lack of service and lack hospitality on COVID-19, it has gone too far. This particular Hyatt has no trained staff, no trained housekeeping and no management. If stay here ever (which I don’t advise ) you should be asked at check in if you would like your room cleaned and towels changed, They don’t tell you that. We stayed 7 nights while on a conference, for 4 days when we came in a rush to shower and go out for meetings, we had to use dirty towels, even after asking 3 different times to have our room cleaned daily, we are supposed to have 2 waters per day as a member, that was not delivered unless we went down and asked. Rooms were dirty from the first say we checked in. Restaurant was closed, club area closed and breakfast was the same as gas station food. The property is dirty with no security, the area is runner down and dangerous at night.
Cost was over $400 per night for a standard room, not worth $75 dollars per night.
My employees stayed at a nearby hotel casting $125 per night, they had better service including breakfast and rooms cleaned daily. It is an embarrassment for Hyatt not to be able to compete with the chains that are supposed to be lower class.
Stay away from this hotel if you ever go to Louisville.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I have already reached out to you on a different channel to communicate with you further about your stay. In the meantime I would like to clarify that management was aware and involved with addressing any concerns that were brought to our attention. In addition our restaurant was open during the times we list on our website and on our welcome letter, our daily breakfast offerings adhere to standards, and we do have security and public area cleaning and maintenance on a 24 hour basis. Please utilize the channel I have already forwarded to you in order to communicate any further, and we hope to find some resolution to your concerns. Thank you.

Very disappointed in the Hyatt brand after staying at this hotel.
I am tired of hearing COVID as an excuse for not having things. Your prices aren’t discounted for COVID your charging full price with out be a full price hotel.
First no room service, the so called restaurant close at 9pm and you can’t even dine in the restaurant. Very limited menu maybe 12 different items.
Starbucks is supposed to be open till 10pm your lucky if you can get a cup of coffee after 3pm.
They also have a very limited menu and long lines.
Now let’s get to the hotel it self. The parking OMG substandard !! No Valet service, not that I use a valet often but not even a option. The garage is under repair and is dangerous as could be, no elevators or stair access so you have to walk up the ramps and drag your bags. Wait for this you get the honor of 20 dollars a day for this parking spot.
The rooms we very clean with the exception of the carpet that probably could either be steam cleaned or replaced because they were stained.
The beds are comfortable.
Bottom line is if you can stay at a different property I would recommend it.

We checked into our room late at night. We confirmed our Suite had a couch that folded out into a bed. When we got to the room there were no sheets, blankets or pillows to make the bed up which was our call #1 to the front desk. While taking showers in the AM we discovered that neither of our two bathrooms had shampoo - call #2 to the front desk. We had a kitchen in our suite with a Kuerig, however there were no coffee mugs, only 1 wine glass. In the silverware drawer there were knives and forks, but no spoons to eat our cereal. Each time we called we felt like a burden so stopped and checked out.

Front desk gave us directions to the Slugger Museum, but on our way out we confirmed with Valet who said, those directions were wrong and it was way too far to walk in this weather.

One other thing to note, there was a party in the atrium that is open to all the floors and room doors - they partied very loud until 2am and it was extremely noisy and hard to sleep. My suggestion if you stay here is to stay in the higher floors as the noise outside is by the bar scene and we heard drunk shenanigans from outside too.

We are brand loyalists to Hyatt - but this location was not up to the standards of what we are accustomed to at Hyatt Regency’s.

Pros: the hotel is right next door to restaurants, bars, & night life. You can walk to pretty much anything. (You pay for that convience but we found it to be wirth it) The higher floor rooms give a good view of the downtown area. The staff were all very friendly. The bed was comfortable & the room was clean. There is a nice indoor pool.

Cons: the hotel does not advise where to go to check in. The front main entrance is on a road that has no street parking. We had to navigate around the block to find the parking garage that guests can use for $20 a night, it is also accessible to the public for a different rate. We found the back entrance to the hotel beside the garage .
The elevator in the parking garage is broken (even though the hotel's website said it would be operable as of August ) If you do not park on the 3rd floor of the garage then you'll have to carry your luggage down the roadway of the garage & into the hotel from the ground floor . The 3rd floor of the garage is the only entrance from the garage into the hotel. We found it very odd that the entrance into the hotel is accessable by the public . (no hotel card key needed)
They do not offer free breakfast , but do have a restaurant on site .

Thank you for your contribution. We will pass along your compliments to our staff. To clarify our parking options before your next visit- the hotel is accessible from the garage at 320 West Jefferson, which is also our official address, via the Lobby Level with ample parking on 1st and 2nd levels where a pedway or elevator is not needed. We are recommending utilizing the pedway on 3rd Level on garage as a temporary solution until the garage elevator maintenance project is completed. You do need a hotel key to access this pedway after hours. I hope you find this information useful before your next visit.

Nothing about this hotel was terrible, but almost everything was mediocre or frustrating in some way. The noise was the biggest issue. From a fourth floor room, I could clearly hear the lobby music and loud conversations until almost midnight every night of my stay. (The hotel info mentions quiet hours for guests between 10:00pm and 8:00am, but I guess that doesn't apply to people in the lobby.) The wi-fi provided in the room is VERY slow. I was mostly able to check email in my room but couldn't really get work done because even downloading a PDF took forever. I would've paid for a faster option, but nothing else was available. I was happy to see the TV included Google chromecast, but despite multiple attempts from more than one device, I was never able to connect--I suspect because the wifi was too slow. The room was freezing, but the thermostat only seemed to control air conditioning; I could turn the AC off, but couldn't do anything else to make the room warmer. I was expecting a rush delivery package for a conference I was exhibiting at and when I asked at the front desk if someone could call me when it arrived (it was addressed with my name and room number), they said they couldn't do that, and instead told me I should call the front desk every 10 minutes to ask if it was there. The hotel doesn't offer any regular housekeeping services unless you stay for more than 4 days, which was also disappointing. I did learn the hard way that the do not disturb sign is extremely necessary if you don't want to be woken up with pounding on your door at 8am on the day you check out. Can't wait to get home and get some sleep.

This hotel, in the heart of downtown Louisville, had very well-functioning rooms. The rooms were well-engineered from the luggage/closet area, to outlets, to placement of furniture. The room had a large open feeling. Speaking of open, it is an open atrium style hotel, so if you don’t like heights you might not care for getting to and from your room. The aesthetic didn’t do much for me as I found all the grey and stark furniture very cold. The only other ding was the incredibly slow/crammed (and one was stuck) elevators. The shower (great pressure) and toiletries were delightful. The television was new, flat, and had a very large and clear picture. Most importantly, the room was clean and the bedding comfortable.

Thank you for your helpful feedback CobbCoGA. We are glad that you enjoyed the layout of the room, in room amenities, and the wonderful mattresses we have. We hope that choose to stay with us again for your next visit to Louisville.

You can get a comfortable sleep at Hyatt and the gym has mostly what you need to stay fit during your stay. This property and management is struggling with the impacts of COIVD on their operations compared to other Hyatt properties. The location is great to walk all the downtown area. Housekeeping is offered upon request or every four days. Cleanliness of the main areas could be improved as well as staff presence on the property. Stay was fine for purpose of visit, but will consider other options next time. Parking garage is convenient, but we didn't receive our ticket that the hotel is supposed to provide a flat rate versus being charged in and out if you're driving around a lot. Fortunately we walked most of our time in the city. I think once some improvements are made and staffing issues are rectified this property will be on par with others in the area as well as Hyatt properties.
