“Great view overlooking the Mississippi and bluffs”

A holiday weekend away from our nearly-grown kids was a first time away. Used it as our base point for touring the historical and natural sites near Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. We spent 2 nights here at the end of a 2-week vacation through Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa. The location is outside of McGregor, just south of Pikes Peak State Park. There is an awesome view of the Mississippi from the deck (see picture below), and it is very quiet. They also allow guests to bring and stable their horses. The... More
