N42 30.062 W94 08.816 I found the desk clerk to be very helpful and friendly. I was on the 2nd floor and was a few doors down from the stairs. I didn't notice any smell. The room was clean and the bed just fine.

When we checked in the man behind the counter just kept talking about "Hotel Policy" and how "it wasn't his fault", no apologies for the incovenience checking in was. There was also a terrible smell in the upstairs hallway and the beds were hard as a rock. Will not be staying at this particular hotel again.

Large, comfortable bed; excellent breakfast; choice of newspapers including Des Moines Register, as well as current Newsweek magazine. And the coffee is the best I have tasted in a motel. The fast internet was also good. And having an elliptical in the exercise room is just what I wanted. All in all, I enjoyed my stay here.

Stayed here for 2 nights during a softball tournament. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and nice size. We have stayed at many country inn and suites while traveling and this was as expected. Easy to find and just down the road from many restaurants. Would definitely stay here again if ever in Fort Dodge.

It was a clean, comfortable room, but I couldn't get past the funky smell of the room when I first walked in. The breakfast area was cramped, no room to walk between tables or to get to the breakfast items. The front desk staff were extremely fast and efficient at getting us checked in and out.
