My husband I just returned from an overnight trip to Davenport. Our only regret is that we didn't plan more time there. My husband really wanted to see a Quad City minor league baseball game (their stadium on the river is pretty cool and he's a huge baseball fan) and I agreed to go along if we could find a... More

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and very reasonably priced. The bars (on the 1st floor and in the martini bar/bowling alley in the basement) have great selection and make great cocktails. They also have daily specials (1/2 price wine bottles, 2 for 1 martinis, etc). Food at the restuarant is also wonderful. Best part of this hotel is that every... More

We were looking for a place to stay after about a 500 mile trip and looked up the Blackhawk...fabulously restored, much better than original...30-35 million dollar remake, 7th ranking of historic hotels in the country. Great quiet rooms, and the resturant has really gourmet foods. We nneded a great place as a reward after a long road trip. Call ahead... More

My daughter was married at Hotel Blackhawk in October 2011. Fast forward to April and we're back to Hotel Blackhawk for the Easter holiday weekend. A wonderful time was had by all! We actually had time to bowl and take advantage of the swimming pool. For Easter Brunch, 19 family members came to enjoy the wonderful brunch of Hotel Blackhawk.... More

This was a great stay, especially since I got it through a priceline bid. The room was awesome, way nicer than any hotel I've stayed at before. You would usually have to pay for all the extras at a hotel of this caliber, but internet and parking were free. Would definitely stay here again, highly recommend! More

The Blackhawk is a very beautiful hotel. The rooms are nice and have been remodeled, but the ambience of the grand old hotel is what I liked. When you first walk in, you feel like you are special. There is a nice bar and restaurant on the main floor; and on a lower level, there is a martini bar/bowling alley.... More

We stayed at the Hotel Blackhawk recently and had a very positive experience. We had made the reservation on line at the 'I Prefer" website and the check-in was smooth and efficient. The room was comfortable and attractive. The renovation has been done to make hallways, rooms and bathrooms have modern amenities in an historic site. The bathroom was large... More

I stayed at The Hotel Blackhawk in February for a birthday party. The rooms are very well done. They have done such a good job renovating this hotel back to its glory. The service from check in and check out was very good. The only negative I could find while I was there was it took quite some time to... More

I have stayed at the Hotel Blackhawk several times over the past few months. The physical facilty is wonderful--beautiful common areas, classy rooms and amenities. The staff is generlaly cordaill but many need training--with a few exceptions the awaremenss of high end customer service is not there, and that is almost surely a matter of training. The other notable shortcoming... More

I purchased a half price coupon for the Bistro. I had occasion to use it while attending a downtown event. This would be my first experience at the new hotel. After no greeting or direction, I seated myself. The bartender/wait staff was moderately busy - not full by any means. Even though eye contact was made, no acknowledgement was made... More

general2010, I have spoken with the Food and beverage Director Del Peiffer about this incident and he has asked me to forward his response. I wanted to take a moment to respond to your visit to Bix Bistro on March 12th 2012. It is our goal to give the very best in customer service each and every time. As you... More
