What a beautiful place. I truly feel like I have experienced Tara from Gone With The Wind! This home has an outstanding collection of pre-Civil War antiques. It's a treat just to browse through the rooms to study the huge collection. Bill and Betty take great pride in their collection and are eager to share the history of each piece.... More

If you love antiques, this is the B&B for you. There is an amazing collection to explore here. Bill and Betty are charming and humble hosts, and the three-course gourmet breakfast Betty whips up is AMAZING. You may not want to eat much the night before so you'll be able to fully appreciate it. During my stay, we had fruit... More

First of all, the breakfast is huge and fantastically prepared. We skipped lunch or ate light most days. Any one of the three breakfasts we ate there could qualify as one of the best we've ever eaten. Bill and Betty were wonderful hosts and we had great conversations over breakfast. They were happy in particular to share information about their... More

My husband and I go away every fall for a dual birthday getaway. We love B & Bs. Madison was a place we'd not been, but wanted to see. We decided to spend one night at the Whitehall B & B. Betty and Bill were very friendly. The mid 19th century antiques, which were everywhere you looked, were amazing. I... More

My parents booked both suites when we traveled to Madison for my brother's wedding. My niece, my brother and I stayed there along with my parents. There are 2 - 2 bedroom suites with sitting rooms and bathrooms. The furniture is just beautiful - rosewood and walnut tester beds and elaborate parlor furniture. I grew up around antiques and have... More

Bill and Betty are gracious and charming hosts. The antebellum house is filled with authentic period furniture. You may find Whitehall captivating or creepy if you don't like old portraits. We were shocked and dismayed to see a squirrel in a cage in the kitchen. Where's the local health department? I liked breakfast, but my spouse did not. Whitehall may... More

I reserved several B&B's in Madison for a work retreat. The Whitehall was lovely, the innkeepers delightful and I will never forget the breakfast - out of this world! Thanks Bill and Betty for a wonderful stay. More

And thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Whitehall. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary there. The suites are large and filled with memories of the past. The house has been lovingly refurbished. The breakfast is simply the best we have ever had outside of our family setting. The whole experience is well worth the money. You arrive as guests and... More

We visited this property as part of a quickie weekend honeymoon. It exceeded our expectations by far! The house is elegantly and lovingly decorated and is almost like a museum. This b&b is truly a labor of love for the owners- you can tell they put their heart and soul into the purchase of every antique piece and into the... More
