The Doubletree is a nicely done commercial hotel without too many frills. The staff was competent and helpful during our one night stay. The proximity to Old Orchard Shopping Center is a plus. Also, proximity to downtown Evanston with all its diverse restaurants (via Church Street) is a plus.

Our stay over the weekend of May 30-June 2 was to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. The facility is clean, efficient, quiet, and staffed by the friendliest staff in all Chicagoland. The indoor-outdoor pool is terrific, the fitness center great. But the helpful staff put this property over the top. We'll definitely be back

We were hoping for a repeat of the wonderful experience we had the previous stay, but were disappointed to find a decline in quality of room and staff service. Not sure if we will stay here when we visit our son in Chicago next year. Most likely won't.

Hotel was very convenient to the family activities that I attended. Nearby shopping, grocery, pharmacy, and theater enhanced the location. Accessibility to highway was convenient. I was on a group rate, which I thought was worth the value. My room had a small bathroom. Beds were comfortable and complimentary internet was a really nice amenity.

My girlfriend and I stayed here during a trip to Chicago. The hotel is very close to the yellow subway line, the staff is awesome, and there is a really good restaurant right next door. We had a great stay.

This hotel is a great value. It's a bit distant from downtown Chicago, but it's relatively easy to get downtown using public transportation.
