I have now stayed at the Old Rectory on around 20 occasions as a professional working in the vicinity. After a hard day, this place is much more than just a bed for the night. Lynda and Colin's caring and genuine willingness to help just makes the stay wonderful. The sense of release and relaxation returning there is significant, and... More

We stayed for one night recently after visiting Longleat safari park. We had an excellent welcome from Colin and Lynda and very impressed with the accomodation and breakfast. We would definitely recommend this B & B without hesitation. Two days later we stayed at a 5 star iconic hotel but it didn't match the friendliness, cleanliness or character of the... More

I stayed at the Old Rectory with my partner for my 60th birthday. We arrived to a very friendly welcome. Both Lynda and Colin made us feel very welcome in their home. Tea and toasted tea cakes were prepared and very welcome after a long journey. The room was very comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent. The thing that really stands... More

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at the Old Rectory. The first time was when the owners had just purchased it. The hosts Linda & Colin have worked wonders with the accommodation, this time we stayed in the "Red Room" and it was excellent. The breakfast was fresh & very filling and we enjoyed our... More

I stayed at The old Rectory on Sunday night with my husband and 21 month old Daughter. Lynda and Colin were both very welcoming and we all felt instantly comfortable. We were greeted with a pot of tea and home made scones and jam/cream- delicious! We stayed in the King room, as the family room was already taken, but this... More

The property is very pretty and our en suite room comfortable, well appointed and scrupulously clean.
