I am appalled at some peoples reviews. The owners have to be nice in their response but I don't. If you had done your Internet research you would have seen and known what you were purchasing. As for if you rated the food at the Hotel as "average" then you just need to get back to New York or Chicago... More

After a 12 hour drive, my son and I were relieved to find our check in a breeze and our room ready! More to our surprise we discovered the hotel upgraded our room for free! My son and I were on a special cross country trip so this upgrade really helped to make our adventure even more memorable (we didn't... More

I certainly cannot argue with this location if one wishes to visit Nauvoo. A block from the temple, accessible to the only eating places in town and by the best buffet. This is an older place so the arrangement and layout reflect that, however I also like historical places with their 'real' feel rather than all plastic and chrome. Two... More

Quaint hotel, but bedroom extremely small. It was uncomfortable; I had thought I would want to stay in an old hotel like this, that it would be neat....but I was wrong. Nice people, but..there was also NO place to eat on Sunday evening. We were told to go to Casey's convenience store and get a pizza...you know, one of those... More

we actually stayed in the motel, not the hotel because it was a little cheaper. the room was comfortable, decor was a old and the lay out of the room was awkward. because there was no free breakfast we left that place at 6 am in the morning...we weren't sad to leave. not to mention we were in nauvoo illinois.... If historic inns are your rainbow, this is your pot of gold. We stayed overnight here and dined repeatedly. Not only was everything exceptionally clean and enjoyable, but the overnight rooms are some of the most affordable in town. The staff was helpful and friendly, too. The total experience is highly recommended. More

Hotel Nauvoo is a sweet "little house on prairie" type experience -- an actual key to open door, Nana's quilts on lumpy beds, noisy air cond in window, slow plumbing (be prepared to sprint for the toilet plunger), and dated decor. However, it provides clean linens on the beds, a clean room, and free wi-fi. The towels were thin and... More

Thank you for your comments. They're very important to us. We apologize for any inconvenience that you experienced during your stay with us. Even though we're a restored 1840's inn, a plumbing problem isn't something that our guests normally experience. Our maintenace staff has responded to avoid any such problem in the future. Also, we pride ourselves in providing the... More

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was large and easily accommodated my family of seven. The decor did a great job of feeling like the 1800's or early 1900's. This was our first visit to Nauvoo and so we were very interested in seeing some of the rich history displayed throughout the hotel. Beautifully done and tasteful pictures and... More

Positives: charming and quaint, friendly staff, good buffet in the restaurant on Saturday nights. Negatives: Cramped room and had to travel 13 into Iowa for Sunday evening meal - Nauvoo 'eateries' closed. Worth a visit though More

the bedroom was very, very small - we could hardly pass each other in the room. There was nowhere at all to hang our clothes (no wardrobe or even hooks on the door or wall). We could only find pizza to eat on the Sunday - everywhere else was closed. The hotel buffet on the Saturday was good value in... More

Thank you for your comments. They're very important to us. We have researched our records of your stay and determined that you stayed in room 108 in our 1840's Inn, which is definitely one of our smallest rooms. It is also the least expensive hotel room in Nauvoo, but we're proud of it and keep it extra clean and cozy.... More
