This was our 6th time back to Pine Hollow and in the 17 years my wife Patty and I have gone to B&B's this is the BEST AND MOST FUN ONE OF ALL! The Hosts Larry and Sally are the BEST! Over 100 acres of land to enjoy the birds, bees, deer and other animals all day long. There is... More

This is our 3rd time staying at the Pine Hollow Inn. The owners are very special people. They remembered us from the 2nd time we had stayed at the Inn in 1997. The breakfasts were marvelous...egg souffle, cinnamon rolls, cranberry and blueberry muffins, stuffed french toast. It's definitely more than a continental breakfast. The rooms are very nicely decorated and... More

A friend and her husband had stayed here last year and raved about it. But my husband and I weren't as impressed. I'm not Martha Stewart, but even I know you're supposed to wash sheets and towels in hot water. Pine Hollow doesn't and you can tell. Bed too soft and squeaked. Brought a bowl of fruit to my husband... More

I stayed at the Pine Hollow Inn as a solo traveler needing a getaway from the world for a weekend. A couple hour drive from Chicago to the Inn and you are transported to another world. The rooms are a santuary and the casualness of the "check in" is more like coming home. After spending a day in town, I... More

My husband and I went to the Pine Hollow Inn for our wedding annivesary. It was wonderful. It is a very lovely and inviting home. We chose one of the downstairs bedrooms and were very pleased with our choice. The owner was very helpful in suggesting restaurants in town. It is located just outside of Galena so you can feel... I really can't say enough good things about this place. Point by point- Perfect location - Just two minutes from downtown, but you'd never know it. No traffic noise from the rooms & two streams on the property which totals 120 acres. It's mostly rugged woodlands but there is a large (~5 acre) park like area right in front of... More

This place is the best of all possibilities, truly just breathtaking. A quick drive from downtown with lots to look at on the way, surrounded by gorgeous untouched nature, and the class & cleanliness of a big city hotel. We spent the day pushing through the swarms of in-town shoppers, so escaping out of the cramped tourist area was a... More

This inn is located approximately one mile from the downtown area, but it is definitely rural. The rooms are all reasonably sized, each have private baths and fireplaces. There is a long front porch with chairs and tables. The property is quite large and includes a decent hiking trail where we viewed deer, snakes, and an energetic (but friendly) neighbor... More

Looking to get away from it all yet have access to a fun little town like Galena? Look no more, just call The Pine Hollow Inn. The grounds are private, full of tall trees and birds of all kinds, the innkeeper is warm and friendly, and the food -- A+ yummy! Take a walk, read a book, or swing in... More

The Pine Hollow Inn B & B is fabulous. Just a beautiful area. We enjoyed the fireplace and whirlpool tub. Evenings spent on the wrap around porch watching many deer, wild turkeys and several species of birds in the woods. Breakfasts were great. We stayed during the week and even the continental breakfast is like a full breakfast. We highly... More
