However, on my last trip I took my spouse along - at that point I realized the room was designed with only one person in mind. If you don't mind being a fair distance east of St. Louis, this is a great hotel. Lots of eateries close by, and comfortable rooms (as we have come to expect from Marriotts). Close to the interstate, but quiet.

Pluses: Easy trip into St. Louis. Near shopping, restaurants, second-run movie theater. Room was in good condition, very clean. Towels and wash cloths were nice quality. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was adequate. Nice pillows and bedding. Pool looked nice, bit didn't use it. Minuses: Thin walls. Highway noise. I was so tired that these didn't matter too much.
