From the moment we arrived in the stylish foyer of the Waldorf Astoria, we were treated with the utmost grace. Smiling, willing staff made us feel very at home. Stylish decor which funnily enough was very similar (a hotel version) to our own house also made us feel very at home! The beds were incredibly comfortable, the room spacious, the... More

My wife and I came here for the weekend to celebrate her birthday and stayed at the Waldorf Astoria. Although the King Standard room was nice and spacious, we were a little disappointed in the lack of amenities provided to us as Hilton Honors Diamond members. This is the first Hilton location that we weren’t even provided a bottle of... More

We decided to celebrate my birthday in Chicago at the Waldorf-Astoria because we had heard it was probably the best hotel in the city. Oh, yes, we also had Hilton certificates for two free room nights. Even though our stay was gratis, we were treated graciously upon arrival and received a two-room upgrade to a large suite on the 26th... More

In Chicago for business and pleasure a fair amount. The Waldorf has surpassed the Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, The Peninsula in my view. Terrific service, smaller hotel, easy to get around and wonderful rooms with larger bathrooms and very comfortable beds. Great location with wonderful access to Michigan Ave., and other sites in Chicago. Came in from the Airport and... More

I absolutely LOOOOOVED this hotel. The room was fantastic with a large, clean, crisp and insanely comfortable bed. The staff was beyond superb; they were friendly welcoming and made me feel like a princess. It is absolutely my favorite hotel in Chicago. The location is spectacular too and I loved everything about our stay. I hope to go back! (someday... More

I am probably in minority here. We did not find this hotel to have an exceptional service. Yes, rooms were nice and large, and we were moved to a different room at night when we had a problem. However, it took the hotel over one hour to send someone to bring sheets to make a pull-out bed and when you... More

Waldorf/Astoria (now part of the Hilton Group) took over management of this hotel about 5 months ago. Previously it was the Elysian Hotel, which is the name we needed to use for the cab drivers to find it. It is perfectly located just off Rush Street near the north end of Michigan Avenue. While it is on the pricey side... More

I stayed here when it was the Elysium hotel 12 months ago and delighted the service standards are equally first class. In a great part of the city for excellent choice of restaurants within a minute walk away, the hotel has a welcoming professional attitude.the bedrooms are very cosy and comfortable with a bed you would want to take home. Although... More

My wife and I decided to take a Saturday evening off and come in from a northern suburb of Chicago. We were greeted at the reception desk with a smile and a great attitude, in fact we were upgraded to a suite. This was a the Hotel's smallest suite but was comfortable and large with a balcony. After a wonderful... More

As expected the service at the hotel was amazing. From the concierge, Mark, with spot on dinner and show reservations to everyone else on staff impeccable service was offered at all times. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. I would recommend one with a balcony if you are going when the weather is nice. The electric light switch system was... More
