We stayed at the Southern Pines Cottages and loved the location. The cottages are nice just need carpet removed and hardwood floors put down and a fresh coat of paint. Bathrooms have been updated and are very nice. Adding gas logs would be great. We enjoyed all the bike trails. And the bird show amd the butterfly atrium were outstanding.... More

The Mountain Creek Inn is an average property whose main benefit is proximity to Callaway Gardens (a great place to visit, btw). Our room was large enough although dark. The beds are very comfortable and the TV and wi-fi service are good. The bathroom is claustrophobic although the exterior sink area does have good storage and room. Unfortunately this area... More

Mountain View Inn recently remodeled; however pics on website look like an upscale hotel but its more like others have stated in reviews....an older hotel with new beds and paint. The bed was very comfortable; however, walls paper thin and could hear every sound from rooms on both sides; even tho weather cool, had to turn old window unit fan... More

My wife and I took an overnight trip to go see Callaway Gardens for the first time. We stayed at the Mountain Creek Inn. The rooms have been recently remodeled. There was still an odor of new paint in the room, but not overpowering. The rooms are obviously older, but they've done a pretty good job of updating. Main evidence... More

My wife and I stayed at the Southern Pines Cottages on the grounds of Callaway Gardens. This was our 6th visit to Callaway and it didn't disappoint. We golfed on the Lakeview course twice and toured the gardens many times. The last time we visited (2 years ago) we enjoyed the full azalea display, which is the best in the... More

The gardens are beautiful and all the facilities well maintained. Makes for a very relaxing and stress free get away. Good for families or couples. We stayed at the Mountain Creek Inn where the room had been recently updated and was very comfortable. We enjoyed an outstanding meal on the porch at The Gardens Restaurant, complete with lovely views and... More

I love Callaway Gardens! I loved spending time with my family there when I was a child and my husband and I still adore visiting the gardens at least twice a year, along with all the wonderful local attractions and restaurants. My favorite restaurant there (and almost anywhere) is the Garden Restaurant inside the gardens. Their offerings are fresh, unique,... More

This was a day trip with a friend. We rented a room in the Mountain Creek Inn to shower and nap. The beds were comfortable and the room was freshly painted and very clean. Lunch at the Vinyard Green Restaurant was good but average. The Southern Buffet in the Plant Room was excellent. The facilities are dated as others have... More

My overall rating is based more on my time spent in the Callaway Gardens more so than the Mountain View Inn. We are only staying for one night and it will do for that. The only problem with the Inn is that they are doing renovations to an old motel. There was a strong smell of new paint and the... More

So glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay here at Callaway Gardens. We do apologize for the paint smell in the rooms. Each room at the Mountain Creek Inn has been taken down to the studs in the walls and rebuilt. The majority of the furnishing are new but there are some that were repurposed. We look forward to... We spent 4 days at Callaway for spring break and had a fantastic time! I was a bit worried about accommodations given some of past reviews, but no need --no... More
