In a world where elegance and service are sorely lacking, The James Madison Inn delivers! Everything was top-notch from reservations to check-in, personnel, the room, etc. The attention to detail is amazing. Even a proper thank you note from Inn sent to my home address. While there are no coffee "fixins" in room, they were graciously brought to my room.... More

If you are taking the Antebellum Trail, this is THE place to stay. Room was very spacious, with fireplace, balcony and all the amenities you would expect in a fine hotel. Beds were exceptional, right down to the pressed sheets. After seeing all the small towns on the Trail, we would recommend this inn to everyone. Madison was the best... More

The James Madison Inn is a lovely boutique hotel/B&B; interior with saved wood from some grand old homes. Our room had a nice sitting area with comfy chairs in front of a fireplace. Great location, within walking distance of restaurants (227 just footsteps away), huge antique emporium and a walking park across the street. Breakfast "buffet" included in a nice... More

I wanted to take in a little Southern history so was looking for somewhere to stay along the Antebellum trail. I chose Madison primarily because the James Madison Inn looked so interesting. I was not disappointed! First, the building itself is beautiful. The room was just amazing - a gas fireplace, sitting chairs, large bathroom with double sinks, a daybed... More

From eating quality steak and seafood at Town 220 to the wonderful spa accomodations, James Madison Inn rivals many upscale hotels in Atlanta. A perfect location for antique shopping, enjoying the large park, and walking the historic district. Our room was beautifully decorated and we enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast with a wonderful host. Our room was very quiet and we... More
